. . . on both the Kentucky and UCLA teams is unbelievable.  This game had the feel like it was the NCAA Championship Game.   How Calipari gets his teams to gel in one year -that quickly,- to the point the players anticipate each others positions on the court consistently, is unreal.

Dr. Starcs

Ucla never looked like they were gonna win tonight.

passinghog

Alford should be ashamed of himself. Was he even on the bench tonight? I didn't think he'd take it, but he's gone to Indiana. Was he even trying to coach tonight?

Fox is one of the best scoring PGs I've seen. Amazing player that controls the game.

Looks like Alford will run off to IU now.

If I was an NBA GM no question I would take Fox easily ahead of Ball.  The kid has Westbrook type ability and his ceiling is off the chart and his outside shot has improved tremendously already this year.

RazorSax

Fox is easily the best player in the country, and probably the most complete point guard I have seen in years. Has the speed, has the length, has the touch, plays solid defense, controls the flow of the game with ease, and has developed a decent jump shot.

If we had him this year, we are still playing.

This is a classic case of recency bias.

Ball has an NBA tailored game.   Fox has a college-tailored game that can grow into being a better shooting John Wall-- which is not to be despised, at all--  but there will be plenty of reasons why Ball gets picked ahead of Fox.

Fox comes with less baggage... Not that the nba cares about that.

If we had Bam and Monk we are a championship team. Always fun to play the if game.
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

I wish Arkansas could get three 5 stars players at the time.

He certainly outshot Ball last night.  Ball's shot selection was atrocious.

Ah blind squirrel finds a nut now and then ..IL be honest if Kentucky.dont win it.all it will be because of there lack of 3 pt shooting .. cause I think.they are too fast for unc

hawgfan4life

I would take Fox all day based on my limited knowledge.  Amazing athlete that can play within a team concept and defer the spotlight.  Ball has premadona written all over him to me.

How do you score 39 if you can't shoot?

lol you can't be serious. This had to be a joke

I can't claim to be a know-it-all about bb like some, but Fox's quickness in the limited (less than 10) UK games I saw this year blew me away. Talk about a greased pig.

Agreed. My wife said the same thing last night.

That was not part of our discussion when observing the play on the court.

His skinny ass is goign to get destroyed in the NBA. Those guys are men and the refs don't protect you like they do when you wear a UK uniform.

He's going to have the same transition issues to the NBA that John Wall did;  Wall worked out really well for the Wizards, but it will take time.

He's gonna need to put on 23 pounds to get to John Wall's size. Hell even Westbrook is 200 lbs. That's still adding 13 lbs of muscle without losing any speed and agility. He's basically the same weight as Curry, but he looks tiny. I'm wondering how accurate the 187 listed on wikipedia is.

Same thing many said about Iverson. He proved them wrong.  Now it did eventually take its toll on AI, but then again we are talking about the guy who didn't like to practice.

He's definitely got the frame, and you could see he played heavier at times through this year, with the bad wheel, as well, and was still able to get to the rim very effectively-- which bodes very well for him, as he puts on a little weight.
