Kid played huge. All around.

TheEnemy

Dude was fun to watch.

He might be our best point guard.   8)

Dude's passing was impressive and he was a beast on D.

Birminghog

I always tell my brother hes the best passer on the team.

PORKULATOR

Trey's a beast. If he could hit the 3 from the top of the key, he'd be awesome.

Remember Stewart...??? He was automatic from there.

That was always one of his strengths, dude has great spatial awareness of himself and team mates. That's almost impossible to coach into a player; that's an innate ability.

Very effective at the high post. He'll hit that elbow jumper when they start laying off.
Do you wanna get Rocked?

hogfooey

He's learning not to foul.  That has cost him minutes.  Another thing I really enjoyed, is that he and Moses have learned to play together.  That will be key for us down the stretch.

Forrest City Joe should be proud of Trey.

He's also easily our best outlet passer;  we saw a couple of his boards today lead to great, controlled 25 foot passes to guards who didn't even have to break stride and starting transition.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

He is not learning not to foul....we are playing a defense that is better suited for him.  That's the difference.

hogfooey

He is doing a better job of not fouling when he contest shots.  That has changed since the beginning of the year.

Trey was getting that ball out of there quick like Oliver Miller used to back in the day.

Ugly Uncle

Trey has always had soft hands.  He catches the ball well in traffic, controls the ball well.  He now has better control of his body which keeps him out of foul trouble.  The he sees the court so well.  His instincts with his passes are remarkable.  I think this team is better when he and Kingsley are on the court at the same time.

His best attribute, he sees the floor better than most.

XavierZane

Heck of a statline:  8 points (4 of 4), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.

Defensively, Thompson gives Kingsley the freedom to challenge more shots because he cleans up the rebounds and finishes the defensive possession out.

PonderinHog

I like the way they're using Trey now.  Sometimes Moses needs a break and sometimes Moses needs some help.  Trey provides both of those things.  I know a lot of people are down on Thomas, but we have been playing well/winning with him in the lineup.  If he ever figures out this layup thing, watch out!

he's from Madison...a suburb of FC  heh

Kinda like Big O! Remember his baseball style inbound passes all the way to the basket

I  hope Mike starts Trey along side Gafford next year.

Very productive today. Has a really high ceiling when given the minutes.

To play Kingsley and Trey together....Thomas has to give us minutes.  So he is important going forward.

Trey will be in the starting line up but Thomas and Cookie man will get most of those minutes, I think. However Gafford will get his backing these guys up.

Thanks Joe for getting Mike straightened out on this.  Very smart move by you!  Plus 100!!
I said...LSU has often been an overrated team.

IKR...I don't think I've ever seen someone 6'8 miss so many point blank layups right at the rim. He should lead the team in And 1's. When he does figure it out his PPG might double.

Think where we'd be if he had already figured it out.  Hope he starts practicing on that.

Trey does pick up some Silva like fouls at times. Doing a much better job of avoiding those lately though.

Nope. i just know my basketball.and glad he made the move i wanted.credit goes to Mike and his staff.

Cmheinley

It's almost Scarry how good his anticipation and vision are. They need to work on drills designed around Trey dishes. He had some amazing passes, but there were so many times that we ended up turning the ball over because he threw the ball perfectly but his target didn't cut or wasn't looking.

Good move though.

Having Trey pop out pulls a big out of the lane and lets either Moses get 1-on-1 or guards slashing. Worked well tonight.....Like!

8 points
8 rebounds
3 assists
3 blocks
3 steals
24 minutes

Shows you what can happen when a developmental player actually sticks it out and plays 4 years for Mike.

Trey should get every one of Thomas's minutes going forward.  No comparison. Never seen so many missed one footers.  Thomas is skeert!!!

If he can stay out of foul trouble.

realistichog

Mike played Trey less than 20 minutes his freshman year which just wasted a year of eligibility. That move is looking dumber by the day.
