FINAL: Kentucky 82, Georgia 77. De'Aaron Fox took over late. There were 13 ties, 15 lead changes. Goodness.

After Kentucky's 82-77 win over Georgia, Kentucky Coach John Calipari compliments Georgia Coach Mark Fox and criticizes the firing of North Carolina State Coach Mark Gottfried.

Thank you to everyone who fought for our team tonight. I'm sorry we came up short. Keep Yante in your prayers-hopefully it's not too serious

I am always ready for Hog Ball!

The football season has no bearing on my excitement for basketball season to begin.

I know I'm in the minority, but I rank Hog basketball above Hog football every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Has a lot to do with the era in which I grew up, but for me personally there is just nothing better than watching the Hogs run up and down the court!
Woo Pig Sooiee!  Can't wait for the season to tip off.  I'm hoping for a much more competitive team this season.

I'm thinking we want UGa to lose.  we have them at home last game of the year.  Don't need them all revved up an thinking they're playing to stay on the bubble.

Looks like Kentucky has this in hand.  Still a few things you'd expect to see them working on a this point, for tournament play.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

This win could have turned Georgia's season around and put them back on the bubble.  No thank you.  I don't want them playing for their tournament lives when they face us.

What I said.  Good point.

I'm pretty sure the crowd was chanting we got screwed

I always root against Kentucky, no matter the context or consequences.  Hate seeing them bailed out every game I watch.

I'm no Kentucky fan but Georgia had a complete meltdown.  I didn't really notice the refs bailing them out, but I only watched the last few minutes.
