I saw that eight hogs are invited to the meat market. Is this the most we've had at one time in the modern era?

It's the most I can think of. However, it was tied by 2008 when we had Felton, Grant, Harrison, Hillis, Jones, McFadden, Monk, and Richardson.

This year, we have Baker, Ellis, Hatcher, Ledbetter, Morgan, Skipper, Sprinkle, and Wise Jr.

We rank 4th in the SEC for teams with players at the combine.

Alabama: 10
LSU: 10
aTm: 9
Arkansas: 8
Florida: 8
Tenner: 6
OM: 4
Auburn: 3
Kentucky: 2
MSU: 2
Vandy: 2
Mizz: 1
Georgia: 1
SC: 0

99: 80% combine drafted, 4/5 +2 drafted non-invites
00: 4/7 , 57%, +1
01: 1/2, 50%, +1
02: 1/3, 33%, +2
03: 1/2, 50%
04: 5/9, 56%, +1
05: 1/3: 33%, +2
06: 0 invites, Tarvaris Jackson drafted
07: 3/4, 75%, +2 (with Anderson being a first round pick, didn't go to combine)
08: 5/8, 62%, +1
09: 1/2, 50%
10: 1/2, 50%, *Damien Williams drafted
11: 3/4, 75%
12: 4/4, 100%
13: 4/6, 67%
14: 2/3, 67%, +2
15: 5/8, 62%
16: 5/6, 83%

Total: 50/78, 64%, +14.
Last decade: 33/47, 70%, +5
Last 5 years: 20/27, 74%, +2

What does this show us? We've had more players that get invited actually become drafted. We've trended in the positive direction for combine invites. We've had fewer NFL players not be invited to the combine, possibly signifying and improved national recognition.

If we use the 99-16 records, that would suggest that 5 of our players will be drafted with about 1 extra player drafted. Using 07-16, we'd have 5.5 drafted and 0.5 extra taken (so again, 6 players). Using the last 5 years, we'd have 6 players drafted.
