Gotta go with Pujols.  He's the best hitter out there right now and he plays for the Cards!

Adam Wainwright is first, then Albert second.
Wainwright's strikeout of Carlos Beltran has forever set him in my memory as my favorite player ever...it was the nastiest strikeout I've ever seen on that level.

70s: Joe Torre and Roberto Clemente. Childhood memories.
80s: George Brett.
90s: McGwire and Ripken (renewed my interest in the game).
00s: Carl Crawford.

Honorable Mentions from the 00s: Johan Santana (change-up), Rich Hill (12-6 curve), Erik Bedard (love lefties, and one of these days my boy WILL be a stud), Jose Reyes (Mr. Excitement; almost makes this lifelong Cardinals' fan tolerate the Mets).
I am a Hog fan. I was long before my name was etched, twice, on the sidewalks on the Hill. I will be long after Sam Pittman and Eric Mussleman are coaches, and Hunter Yuracheck is AD. As a Cardinals fan Pujols, but Grady Sizemore is quickly becoming my favorite non-Cardinal.

Honor and Integrity no longer exist in the world of college football.  It is only filled with liar's cheater's, and traitors.

i kind of like David Eckstein for his heart ,grit, and driving around a clunker car , going to the library to use a public computer to do his emails, and signing over a car he'd won to his mom. or so he's told Jim rome as of last year.
When Nutt's time in ARK is gone, and we are back to the JackCrowe Danny Ford days, you'll then realize how good you had it. Someday, when you watch Nutt turn a perinial loser, an academic school, a sleeping giant into a bowl contender, a conference title contender, a bcs hopeful, then You'll be sorry the man you cried such hate and disdain against.

Past: Mark Grace....Love his style of hitting.  No batting gloves, and a lot of liners in the gaps.  Does anybody remember the blowout game when he pitched for the D-backs and did the Mike Fetters impersonation?

Present: Brian McCann

Matt Holliday

I love Holliday, too. I remember seeing him play for Tulsa in AA. My crew and I thought he was very overrated, kinda "old" looking, played stiff. Nope. Totally wrong. I was wrong on Hawpe, who I thought was a platoon-type of OF. He's quite solid for the Rockies.

Hunter Pence is, without a doubt, a hitting machine.

Jose Reyes....and I hate the Mets.

Albert Pujols a close second......and I'm tired of hearing from my Cubbie friends up here of "What happened to Pujols?".  They seem to think he is guilty of chemical abuse because he isn't leading the NL in almost everything....he's having a down year.

I like Reyes because he has it all.

I also like David Wright.....Michael Cuddyer, Jim Thome, and Chase Utley...

Cuddyer because he is nails.

Thome because he is a true good guy with great numbers.

Utley because he is a fantasy stud.

Jacob "2 Scoops" Johnson

i gotta take el hombre
in a close second is chris slam dunk duncan

Wow not many people know about Grady Sizemore but you are right he is exciting to watch.

Manny and Miguel do like to admire their work.

With Manny you just never know what he will do.

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I'd do the same. LaRussa's a nutjob and would probably throw at his head.
