Certainly to be one of the games of the week as Kiffin takes on Meyer for the first time.

The series is tied 19-19. Of interest, Tenn won the first 10 games in the series but Florida has reversed the earlier trend. Florida has won the last 4 games.

Why Ed does this mean we're not friends anymore? You know Ed, if I thought you weren't my friend... I just don't think I could bear it!

Florida up 3-0.  Tennessee defense stopped them on 3rd down twice.  Their D is playing tought so far.  7+ minutes left in the 1st qtr.

"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

I think we should beat anyone who has ideas that we disagree with and dares to make the public.  You're right on here.

Everyone and their dog on here turned in to dr. Phil. That's my favorite part. Everybody had advice. If I ever need advice, which is doubtful, hogville will be the last place I come for it.

Watching the rockets launch from the beach is way cool. Time for a new NASA to continue the mission. Crying shame we have a president that hates America. You people get what you deserve  #obamasfault

Moved the ball pretty good against UF, and took quite a bit of time off the clock.  Lets go gators, take the ball, drive down the field, hit somebody and score a touchdown!
Show me a guy whos afraid to look bad, and I'll show you a guy you can beat every time.

It was a very impressive drive by the Vols....  getting the FG to cap it was important.

The spread was pretty ridiculous at 30.  It may be one sided from here out, but it's not a 30 point game.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Would never say never, either  ;) ... but that ridiculous point spread seemed like an open invitation TN fans to make some money this week... will see, but can't imagine Vols losing by that much.

Can you believe that WR for Tennesse let himself go out of bounds on that pass... yuck!

Two hings are surprising me about Florida in this game: their struggling to stop the run and their predictable playcalling.

Florida has used up TOs talking over TN defensive sets...

SteveInArk

Held FL to another FG, with that big hit in the end zone...  13-6, nearing the end of first half.  TN is hanging in there so far.

Halftime.  Score the same, FL-13, TN-6...  Vol fans have got to be happy...

Come on Gators, wear them out this half! I don't want to hear crap all week about "how close we came in the swamp."
I'd rather be dead than be a Vol

56Hog

Well that was kind of underwhelming.

UT's playing as expected, Football Jesus and the Scaly Apostles have been short on miracles, Lundquist is really showing his age, the CBS studio gang is irritating as normal and Kiffin's outrunning the popperatzi.

DenverHogFan

someone on TV just remarked that Florida didn't have any "big" plays in the first half, but at 10 yards per touch, like they're doing right now, I guess you don't really need any

SteveInArk

Held to FG again...   FL 16 over TN 6, early in the 3rd qtr.

Vols are hangin' in, I just don't see their offense doing enough to make it any closer

SteveInArk

Well, you can tell Kiffin has NO confidence in his QB.....  those play calls said it all....

I cannot stand listening to Lundquist and Danielson. Couple of morons.

I like them both, especially Lundquist...  Danielson can be strange at times, but he is having fun and knows his stuff.

I really can't believe the game is as close as it is.

Go for the throats! Two more touchdowns will cover the spread

Hawg Balling

The fact that Kiffin keeps running the football speaks volumes about his confidence (or lack thereof) in Crompton.

SteveInArk

Kiffin, "what is this pass you speak of?"  The Vols won't win many big games unless the other team goes to sleep on offense on the day they play TN...

For a big emotional game Flordia has seemed pretty flat all day.  Almost like they wanted to do just enough to win, but of course of you can do it then so be it.  Tenn is playing pretty vanilla or Nutt ball so maybe that is the reason.

SteveInArk

Volunteer TD....  FL 23-13 ...  the momentum swing with that fumble by Tebow must have really had a (shorterm) effect on the Gators...

You see that highlight, the backup OU quarterback set a new school record in their continuing crush of Tulsa.

Crompton is not good.... they better get a freshman ready....  besides the fact that TN has no ability to work the clock...  Kiffin gave up hope when they got down by 17...

Absolutely worthless QB play.... on the other side of his receiver and he might have got the 4th down completion...

Florida didn't get close to covering the spread, and they both got nowhere near the over/under of 53.

I liked that lingering hand shake between Kiffie and Urban.
My sources are unreliable, but their information is fascinating.

It is so painfull to watch our QB play. Not having a QB has limited the offense a TON. Hell UT didnt run 15 different plays all game due to lack of QB.
Kiff likes to throw the ball but he has to play the hand that was dealt him. We have a young gun coming in at QB next year and hopefully the change will happen.

If Tennesse had a serviceable QB, they would have beat Florida yesterday.

The kids played hard, the staff put together a good game plan (albeit with very limited plays) but we came up short. It sux to lose anytime. BUt yesterday both of my teams lost. Hell the Hogs game hurt me more than UT. I expected UT to lose but I just knew the Hogs would win. Yesterday sucked!
