Work harder!!!......millions of illegals, welfare bums, multi-millionaire financial CEO's who've trashed their companies, unionized auto workers in Detriot, and other recipients of our governments social programs depend on you.

Neither of these teams are as nearly as good as teams they have had this decade.  After these first two weeks, college football seems weak this year.

Who got hurt, Barkley?

Hand or wrist.   OSU has the ball, but it's entirely possible Corp plays the next series.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Maybe he'll be the spark they need.  They seem flat on offense.

Corp should have already gotten a couple of series.  SC's offense is way too conservative with Barkley.  If this is all they think they can run with him then why is he the qb?

Given his age, I'd say Corp may be gone, if he doesn't get a starting opportunity at some point this season.

For some reason after those two games we had with the Trojans a few years ago, I expect them to hang 50 on everybody. I know they're not as good now as they were then, but I still can't get the images of them scoring at will out of my mind.

They scored so fast it just messed you up.

Corp may be planning on the Cassel route.

Why?  It squanders years of your potential career, and severely limits your earnings opportunity at the next level.

He's already had his redshirt year while Booty was there.  Played behind Sanchez last year.  Plays behind Barkley this year.  If he transferred, wouldn't he lose another year and just have one possible year to play?  Unless of course he wanted to go to a D2 school, which I think may hurt his draft stock just as much as staying put.

ErieHog

I wonder if Corp is out there for this series...nope.  Still Barkley.  I hope the kid comes through, for his sake.

Yes, he'd be down to a single year, but that's far from an impediment to being drafted.    If he had a single big season at a reasonable sized program (say....Washington), he'd have a much easier time not only getting a decent draft slot, but having the credibility to challenge for a starting spot on an NFL roster.   He wouldn't be a developmental project who spends half of a mid-round draft choice's rookie contract waiting for a chance to even sniff the field.

Most NFL QBs are 2 contract players; they get their rookie deal, then a bigger deal when they establish themselves.  The truly elite are lucky enough to get to a 3rd contract.   Staying at USC could cost Barkley millions.

Barkley's getting a drive together. Gotta give it to Carroll for leaving him out there. Besides being a homer, I would have thrown Mustain in there by now. Even though he's no.3 on the depth charth, he's the only one with experience winning in a hostile environment. USC has the talent, they just need someone who can run the game under pressure. Mustain has experience in that

I'm not a USC fan, but I can't think of a reason not to like Carroll.  He rewards competition, he doesn't blow smoke about his own team, wins consistently, and has Arkansas ties.

McKnight is going to win this one for USC, and Tressel is (again) going to regret playing so conservatively tonight.

On a quick side note, did ya'll see that UL-Lafayette beat Kansas St on the scroll?  I know the Cats have been down but to lose to the Ragin Cajuns just piles on to the Lil' 12 North's bad week.

OSU should have let them score quicker so the would have more time.  1:05 isn't bad, but no TO's.  If you are going to puss out on D do it a little quicker to give your offense time.

Oh and also thanks to OSU we will hear as much about barkley now as we do Tebow.  He will be rammed down our throats as the next golden boy.

Prince was amazing, though, in destroying what Snyder built.    Mere incompetence doesn't begin to explain what he did to a mid-level  Big XII program, that Snyder had removed from the ash heap and made not only respectable, but sustainable at at least a middling level.
