Quote from: ErieHog on Yesterday at 11:17:38 pmI can't bring myself to root for any team with Terrance Shannon.

Somehow I missed that story (thankfully).  Can't believe he has an injunction against the university to allow him to play.  Just insane.

And in other news, my Bama/Duke finals is looking a little more likely now.

He might not have played the same way for Arkansas as he has Alabama, different style and all, but he would have still been a good one to get.

Sounds like the game plan was to tip the cap to Hagen for game 1 and put all eggs on games 2/3 basket. Not a bad strategy. Let's see how it pans out.

Quote from: Pig in the Pokey on Today at 12:23:33 amLack of NiL cost us both Grant Nelson (24 pts, 5 blocks tonight vs #1 UNC)
and
Ron Holland (20ppg in G0League).

Sigh.

Im not sure we could have landed both and not sure you are saying that.  But NIL would have helped with both but I think there was more wtih Nelson and there CERTAINLY was more with Holland.

Interesting thought, Tusks.

Quote from: Valleyhog10 on March 23, 2024, 12:53:30 amI may have missed this in a previous post, but under his present contract, what is CEM's buyout if he does elect to leave? If you Google this question it says the Buy Out is $1 milllion and drops to $750,000 since the season has concluded. I expect this amount to markedly increase if and when he signs an extension but that seems like a really low number compared, for instance, to Calipari's $34 million buy out or even Pittman's buyout.
I am told that the $1 million dollar (or $750,000) figure is not real because of the Foundation. Is this true? Does anyone know?

You are Hogville's Angst Miner of the Year.

This team is a notch above average

Is this referring to LSU or Arkansas? LSU is very average, at best, overall

So im wondering. With all the focus on nil. How will that affect tuition rates?  Will universities and colleges have to raise tuition to meet nil demands?  Im sure nil for now is mainly from private sponsors but i think it will come to a point that in order to stay competetive, schools may have to contribute from thier own pocketbooks and like taxes, you know how that works
