They wanted us to play it in Little Rock. We couldn't guarantee ticket sales to Bud Walton, but a UA-UALR matchup at Alltell would have come close to filling the place up.
There's no way they would have let that happen. This is just speculation of course, but it would be a reasonable thing for the NIT to suggest.

ticket sales probably wasn't the problem . i think it was ego .and the risk of losing to a supposedly inferior team such as A'S'U OR U'L.A.R  . Also a matchup with MIKE ANDERSON could turn out bad .U.A.B . TOmuch risk to little reward according to U OF A staff.
