$481,000 per year.  (Sorry that I don't know how to post the link from my cell phone.)

It goes up 90,000 each year.

So with the "85% rule" Allen will still earn just over a half million.  God bless him.  Even if it all ends at this year's training camp the kid whose truck was egged and burned a few years back (still unacceptable) will still have earned a pretty enough penny for one summer's work with the NFL.  Hope he succeeds beyond his wildest dreams, and/or can get a front office job in the league somewhere if he wants.  The young man's certainly smart and wise enough to do so.

Find the 85% rule in the new CBA.......if you can.....

This is the best I could come up with on guaranteed money. The amounts are dated but are after CBA.

"1.  All rookies get paid the minimum of $390,000 IF YOU MAKE THE TEAM.   Thats $22, 941 per week for 17 weeks.
2.  GUARANTEED CONTRACTS ARE only given to the top 4 rounds, very few/some  in round 5.  Round 5 and down, the only GUARANTEED money is the signing bonus."

Something else I read stated that first half of the 1st round typically gets the full four years salary guranteed, two years guaranteed through round 2.
Don't be scared, be smart.

Man, Ricepig...you'd think I'd said Allen played hs ball at Bentonville or something. :)  (jk...I'm learning things from you and others here on this thread.  Appreciate it.)

I hope he gets all 4 years guaranteed, lol. If you look up the contracts on sportstrac, it will tell you what's guaranteed.

I think he can be a long term backup QB who doesn't force the ball and manages the game.

He'll only make the $450,000 if he makes the roster.

Hell, that will look nice in the bank.  Instant start to a good retirement fund.

What does a typical college graduate start out at (on average) 75K? Yeah he will have a monumental head start on life, way better than I had.

FraggleHog

Allen just needs to hang on and get through his first contract. The 2nd contract is where he'll make the real $$. He has the head and skills to do it. There's a huge need for quality backup QB's in the league these days with all the injuries to starters.

Not even close - $52k for a business degree which makes your point even stronger.   ;)

You are correct, I was just taking a swag at it and was too lazy to look anything up.
