In the second box score there is a typo. I has Henderson listed twice. The first Henderson listed is actually Moss

batmanfan

Looks like Moss is fitting in well.  Also Weaver is getting very little time.
Images should not be any wider or taller than 250 pixels, max two images.  use  or  to accomplish this.  Total image width is allowed to be 500 pixels, maximum.  Maximum size of all signature images cannot exceed 100,000 total bytes.

Observations that jump out at me:

1) ETHAN HENDERSON!!!! Way to go! He led the team in scoring BOTH games! I was surprised to see that. I can't figure him out! Lol

2) WEAVER: Like the poster above stated, Weaver is contributing very little. I thought he was supposedly healed and getting back to form. So to still see him being a non-factor...that's concerning.

3) ISIAH JOE: He shot almost 50% from three point range in the two games, so it's good to still see him being consistent.

4) PERRY:  I expected him to be more dominant. With his meteoric rise in the rankings over the summer, and with him now being too good for us apparently (*cough... I mean with his dad being sick) I expected more from him.  Several guards had almost as many rebounds as him in the games, and several other players on the team pretty much matched him in points.

5) TJ MOSS: So much for an "adjustment period" with a new team. He came right in like a stud and and showed out both games! In the first game, he had double digit points and LED the team in rebounds. In the second game, the led the team in points and tied for the lead in rebounds!

6) REBOUNDS: This is concerning. They were out rebounded both games. In the second game, which they lost, I think rebounds were the story of the game...they were outrebounded by 26 rebounds (47 to 21)!!!  That's troublesome because due to our style of play, it's seems the Razorbacks are always in poor position to rebound most games... and we never crash the boards as a team, everyone is already just running back and we almost concede the rebound if we miss. So this is a sneak peek at our future Razorback team, and I hate to see them getting killed on the boards like that since it's already a weakness for us.

Game 4 Boxscore. Ugly Shooting game. My opinion Justice Hill will be better served staying in 2019 class. I am not sure he quite ready for class of 2018. He need the time to develop.

Curious about Ethan Henderson.  I don't understand this guy at all.  He has two really good games early in this tournament but the last two games he's basically nonexistent. He's a top 150 player supposedly and doesn't play for his high school team. Man I don't get this guy. I hope we're recruiting another big to the hill for the times when he's bad EH.

We are going to need a impact big. I can't see Ethan getting much playing time the first two years.

Justice definitely should stay in the 2019 class. We really need to sign TJ Moss.

Hog in Iowa

Game 4 Hawks lose by 4 and miss 15 (15!!) free throws.  Did I mention 15 free throws were missed?  Listen up young men... free throws win games.  Very important to make free throws.

I will say that Mass Rivals is a pretty impressive team talent wise:

http://247sports.com/Player/David-Duke-46037479
http://247sports.com/Player/AJ-Reeves-85256
http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/alex-rivera

Plus, the rest will mostly all also attend smaller D1 schools. So I'd say they have more top end talent with the Hawks probably having a higher floor in talent, but this is the kind of talent they will be facing at the next level every game at the next level. Also, I believe that the poor free throw shooting has been a bit of a common theme for this team throughout the summer. There aren't many games where you should lose when shooting 43 free throws. However, the rough 3 point shooting also didn't help, and is not common for this team. A big key for me also is that Ethan Henderson has to find a way to be consistent. I know that team and Marcus Smart's team have talent, but he's 6'8 and a freak athlete. There's no way, barring foul trouble, he shouldn't put up 10 and 8 just about every game. Finally, yes, sign me up for TJ Moss. He already looks to be clicking with this team and he can fill it up from outside. Best of luck to them tomorrow as they open with Team Loaded VA!

Here's some of the players they'll go against tomorrow:

Definitely live up to the title of "Loaded"

Game 5 Boxscore. Another ugly game. Justice Hill did not play. The Hawks players are good players not great. If Hogs goal is to win SEC championship & get to Final Fours we need more great players than good players. Good game big Big Man Stokes!!!!

Sadly the future isn't near as bright as we were all lead to believe. It also seems that our staff is allergic to big men from what I can tell they have watched or scouted the last couple of days. Really seems like they are just trying to duct tape the 2018 class together at this point.

The 2018 class is not even better than the 2017 class. Still have a lot of time.

No PG/Justice Hill, best player in foul trouble, and Joe apparently had a foot injury. So, yes, its not a pretty game, but they were going to need to play a really good game to beat this team, and that's not easy to do with what they were missing.

Some of you act like this is the Arkansas lineup playing in this tournament. The team isn't deep or very well rounded, particularly without Hill. They have 3 post players (Perry, Henderson, and Stokes), a SF (Weaver), 2 3pt specialist SGs (Joe and Moss), and a football player (Smith) going agaginst another really good, deeper, AAU team. If you just put Hill and Sills back on the roster for this game I think its a much closer game. No, none of these guys besides Perry are an instant impact player most likely. However, most of them aren't going to be asked to be starters until their 2nd or 3rd year on campus which is 3 to 4 years away. That's a long time as far as physical and mental maturity and skill development goes for kids that are 17 years old
So you guys just need to relax and not take every win and loss as a momentous signpost of these kids' future ability when they play for the Hogs

It will likely finish around the top 30-35 range. Far cry from the thinking that it wouldn't fall out of the top 10 a year ago. Staff seems to just be making it up as they go at this point and we have seen that before.

Mike and staff will finish this class. It's just time to call this class what it is, solid but not exceptional. Hill and Sills might not be the best guards in the state regardless of class. I still believe in Mike Anderson.

I believe in Mike as well. I believe he can't recruit. We are just lucky Arkansas is putting out some good if not great players. The difference makers have lately went to Kentucky and Florida.

You're right.  These results prove that none of these guys can play.  Perry's offers will surely dry up.  Good thing we dodged that bullet.

I'm not even talking about this weekend. This time last year this was gonna be our best class ever. Now it is looking more of the same ole same ole.

We were way ahead of the curve with 4 spots filled last year and all this staff had to do was focus in on certain prospects they actually had chances at. A year later NONE of those were made and it looks like this staff is in scramble mode again looking to fill 3 spots now. Like what have they been doing? You can only travel so much to watch Demarre Carroll ride the bench in the NBA. Got to laugh that this staff thinks they have a chance just now offering some of these top 50-150 guys so late that already have 10-20 offers. They wont give them the time of day.

In 247's team rankings for 2018 one school has signed 4 players (MSU), three schools (including Arkansas) have 3 commitments, 13 have two commitments, 48 schools have one commitment, and the rest presumably nada.  By your definition 99% of college basketball staffs must be in scramble mode right now unless fewer than 90 players will be signed for 2018.

Yeah, I'm sure if only the staff had spent less time at Raptor games, our class would be in better shape.
