That puts us at a total of:

79/85 total scholarships available.
18/25 total for 2015 class.

CDBHawg

Updated after the news of Ollison, Hines, and Marshall transferring.

Looks like 7 spots left in this class with 6 scholarships open overall.

The_Iceman

Is Santos projected as a Corner or Safety? I guess he could play either one.

With how those numbers line up, expect 1 or 2 more to transfer. CBB said he is talking all 25 this class, with 7 spots left and only 5 schollys open.

6 spots left? Who's our 19th commit?

Good question. I'm not sure. But it sure looks like he'll be needed at Safety more. Either way, I changed him to a Fr. as Bielema stated he's a good player, but will redshirt this year.

We need OT in a bad way.  Also wouldn't hurt to get additional DBs and a RB

DallasHogFan

Anyone semi-surprised about Hines transferring?
Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some "Hogville Censored" muscle. -Wooderson

Not really, he redshirted this year, when we were short numbers early in the season.

Yep.

My dream final 7:

Barnett
Merrick
Howell
Haughton
Gustin
Kirkland
Carr

I wouldn't be surprised if Williams went to the NFL early. Hines really should stay, but I can understand his desire to transfer. Given that the presumed reason for Nate Holmes transferring was being replaced by Korliss, I wonder if he has any regret now?

Totally read it wrong haha! Hopefully 19 isn't too far around the corner though.

Hawgndaaz

Don't we technically have 2 kickers and 1 punter?

Deacon is graduating and not returning is the word on the street. I'm pretty sure he did all the senior day stuff with the seniors.

His tweet from that day:

Last home game as an Arkansas Razorback today. It's a bitter sweet day today. This place has given me many memories.

Hard to argue when it's straight from the horse's mouth. I'll update it show where we're at without him.

CDBHawg

With Deacon gone and the OL numbers at 12. I really hope we sign Barnett, Merrick, and Howell.

We are way out of balance at more than one spot!
20 guys on the D'Line? That seems like an awful lot to me.

I think we do fine next year, but look at the # of sr's next year.   I'm excited about 2 years from now.  That could be a huge year for us with any luck.

BoynamedWooPigSooie

Yep we need OL badly.  We moved a few guys over to the other side where they might have a chance to compete for back up jobs.

We're picking up a couple OL as walk ons and they'll help push scholarship players, but we need some studs that can go head to head w/ the blue chippers they'll play week in and week out.

Possibly. I've heard Ward is fighting his way back from injury, a serious one. So he may be a medical hardship candidate. Boyd & Ollison are puzzling to me. I thought Ollison was serviceable as a backup OT and Boyd seemed to be doing well at G/C. And with our numbers on the OL, we could definitely use the depth there. I suppose at this point, with Ollison already gone, it really doesn't matter.

I am extremely pumped at the low miss-rate and top-notch player development we are seeing here.  That is exactly what must happen in order for Arkansas to compete in the SEC.  If these staff can do this when we suck, imagine what they will be able to do once we start winning consistently.

Non-italicized "Freshmen" are currently redshirting and will be RsFR next year...isn't that obvious from the post?

Exactly.  I believe he played in the Nicholls State and Texas Tech games so if he had an injury that caused him to miss the rest of the season, he could get a medical redshirt.  Hope he gets one.

Thanks!
Who are you most excited to see on the field next year out of our redshirts? Isn't JoJo expected to be a dynamic player? Wallace expected to get in some playing time too?

A lot of impact players could come out of these that redshirted.  Coaches are really high on Brian Wallace.  If he continues to progress as expected, he should be starting RT next season.  Jojo Robinson can definitely be the vertical threat/explosive playmaker we need on the outside.  Also, can field kicks and punts so that will help since we lost Korliss.  Cole Hedlund should win the kicking job next year.  If not, that is a bit of a concern considering how highly touted he was coming out of high school.  Kicker is definitely a position you don't want to miss on in recruiting (i.e. Alex Tejada).  Finally, a lot of buzz on Santos Ramirez.  Guy has a great frame and playmaking ability in the secondary.  Reminds me of Tevin Mitchel physically.  Should be in some nickel and dime packages next season.
