Sprint iPhone 5 on T-Mobile Network

Has anyone done this before? Everything I've searched shows that if you "unlock" it, it will only work on international networks. I'm sure someone has done this. I've got the opportunity to get a working iPhone 5 from Sprint (good IMEI) for $50 from a friend. Surely someone has figured out a way to make it work.

It's doable but a colossal pain in the ass. You basically have to have something called an R-Sim or a variant of it, that fits underneath your sim card, you then have to run some special software on the phone as well to make the data actually work. Yes, I've done it, but it wasn't really worth the time and effort IMO.
