Report: Suspended UF players could be in for longer bans amid fraud allegations

The website that first reported suspensions for seven Florida players has a new report about the case:

Gators defensive end Jordan Smith is "alleged to have used stolen credit card information to pay rent."


Quote"A Chicago-based apartment company has filed a complaint to the universities' compliance department, accusing Smith of paying $1,000 in rent at a Gainesville apartment complex with a credit card listed under a different name. Smith is alleged to have logged in to the payment system under his own login, before entering credit card details that were deemed to be fraudulent by the credit card company."

Smith — along with star wide receiver Antonio Callaway, freshman linebacker James Houston, freshman offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort, junior defensive end Keivonnis Davis, redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Richerd Desir-Jones and freshman linebacker Ventrell Miller — were previously suspended for the Sept. 2 season opener against Michigan in Arlington...
