Using hookers goes beyond having an affair.  You're getting into issues of sex slavery, drugs, and just all around bad people.  Comparing the two is like comparing a pick pocket to armed robbery.  Yeah both are illegal, but not even close in severity.

You never know what it's really like in the marriage or the circumstances in their lives. And the fact of the matter is males are biologically driven to have sex with multiple women. Socially, it's not the best thing for raising children-they do much better in a strong family environment-but biologically, it's not how we're made. The moralists won't like it, but I think men are simply often responding to instinct.

I agree. But it's a difficult thing, which is why I'm not so quick to judge someone.  Depending on which study you look at, a very high percentage of men admit to cheating. Maybe 35 to 38 percent or more. And those are just the ones that admit it. In reality, I suspect it's at least half.
