As Huds says in earlier post he may be 2-3 behind a couple guys a little bigger w/sub 4.5 times posted  compared to stats posted on kofi > 4.5 ( no one knows how reliable the info posted by the recruiting services will be?)

Check the spreadsheet linked to an earlier post by arkanSWAG that offers comparative specs on prospects at their respective positions to see for yourself.

Of course the hog staff eval is all that matters when all is said & done, but it's still a few weeks till the season starts, so recruiting fills a lot of time

Definitely more to being a receiver than size and speed. The best of all time (Jerry Rice) wasn't the biggest or fastest, but he the best at running routes, creating space, catching the ball and finishing the play. Also the intangibles, which as you might have noticed is huge under this staff. As you mentioned, sites aren't always reliable either, and people can improve throughout season. It's great to be top 3 for him and to have options for a variety of ways for the chips to fall.

No doubt Rice was the greatest of all time but the best receiver of the past decade goes by the name of Megatron because of his size, speed, & athleticism. He is somewhere in the neighborhood of 6'5", 4.3 forty, & has a 48" vertical. There is the that side of the argument too.

Jerry Rice isn't coming along again either, so there is always that.

Completely agree. My point was more of the coaches aren't basing their list on WR strictly due to the receiver's reported 40 time.

Sure he is -- there will always be another guy coming along that is better than the all-time best.  Just the nature of the beast.

Even Bob Beamon's long jump record was broken, and I thought that would never happen until the end of time.

Are we still in the hunt for Omotosho?  It will be interesting to see how our WR recruiting class ends up, but looks like we will get two good ones.

In light of us not making the cut for Cleveland and with Graham wanting to "see what out offense looks like this fall" I would put the full court press on Kofi.  Like with Pennemon a bird in hand...
