Who do you guys think really helped their team and who do you think really didnt make the needed improvements?

I think the Warriors got Curry as a steal at number 7.  I actually kind of like the Twolves drafting Flynn and Rubio because both guys bring something completely different to the table.  Both could be great pgs, but I particularly like Flynn.  I think their plan will be to let both guys develop and end up picking one of the guys and using the other as a valuable trade asset.  But the Clippers still probaby win because they got Griffin, who is the best post player in the draft by a mile.  Griffin makes their post depth a little bit ridiculous so I imagine they will be trading a guy or two.  Griffin alone could make them a solid team next year.  He is all kinds of awesome IMO.

The Clippers were the obvious winner, and the thing most people don't know is that they already have alot of talent.  B. Davis, Thorton, Gordon, Camby, Kaman, etc.

The Knicks did really well I believe.  They needed inside help bad and got that in a high im high on, Jordan Hill.  Toney Douglas is also big time an can help immediately.

I also liked what the Spurs did by getting Dejuan Blair so late and also adding R. Jefferson.

Props to the Magic for getting Vince Carter and a unknwon but good Ryan Anderson.

I actually like what the T'Wolves did with the 2 pgs, but also snagging Ellington late.

Houstons trade to get Budinger for nothing will be good for them too.

I think the Grizzlies had a very good draft.  You have a defensive anchor in Thabeet and somebody who is NBA ready right now in Sam Young because of his age and body.  Carroll will be an entergetic bench player, much like Hakeem Warrick.  I think they improve dramatically this upcoming year.

Oh ya.

I liked Memphis top 5 or so, I think Majo and Gay are All-Star caliber players and Gasol and Conley COULD be plus Aruthur is a rebounding machine.  But after that it got weak.  Now they have 3 legit players they have added to the roster, good for them.

Hope so!

Grizz still need to add a talented veteran to this team, but they are definitely on the right track...

Hear here. Thabeet's not a "sexy" pick, but for a team that lacked so much rebounding, shot blocking and toughness last year, it's gonna work out. Griffin was the dream for the Grizz, but Thabeet isn't a bad backup option.

With Phoenix and Dallas maybe on their way out, the Grizz could remain in contention for the playoffs next year. Then again, with Oklahoma City making a jump, maybe not. We'll see.

I'm curious as to what the Memphis approach will be;  the Spurs look to have upgraded their core significantly;  Utah is moving to solidify their long-term contract situation around a solid nucleus (offer sheet to retain Milsap today); the Trailblazers are young, talented, and look to be positioning themselves for a second round playoff run this year;  the Suns are considering trading Amare, and essentially entering a rebuilding mode;  the Mavs have been quiet; the Clips should be much better next year, with the addition of a guy to a talented but oft-injured front line; the Lakers are solid coming off their title run; the Warriors look to be making some noise in their rebuilding efforts.

The entire middle of the Western Conference (2-12) look to be either tightening the gaps, or moving down slightly, with an eye towards the end of the CBA after 2010.     What does that mean for the Grizzlies in a couple of years?
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I am interested in seeing what moves the Knicks make. whether the decide to kept their big center who missed all of last year? Can't remember is name. If they sign Lee to along term contract.  Would like to the see them had a second round draft choice would have taken Meeks from Kentucky. If it was me.

I'm pretty sure David Lee is done, unless he'll sign for 7-8 million, rather than the 10-12 his agent has been bandying about.

you maybe right? Don't think Lee would have to many options at 10-12 million?

In this market, probably not.  Then again, I remember that Brian Scalabrine commands 3.5 million a year, so 10 for a player like Lee seems less outlandish.

Knicks have been buying out contracts for two years. Can't see them overpaying now.
