They win 90 + games and miss the playoffs.  My wife is  :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:  They seem to have never recovered from losing to the Cardinals in the World Series.
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

My Rangers' in-laws have been down in the dumps since the '11 WS, especially with the endings to the '12 and '13 seasons.

Yes, they can....too many examples to list.

Oh, God. I could start with Bob Heaton and list literally dozens of others from Little League ball all the way up to the seventh game of the World Series.

I watched game 6 again last night, it really was unbelievable the way it all unfolded. Had it been a movie, I'd have said nothing could've ever happened that way. I can remember being resigned to a loss thinking that it was a miracle we'd even made it that far and I was actually going to be happy for the Rangers. (like I was for the Sox in '04...they had just endured too much frustration over the years lol) I imagine I could even find it my heart to be happy for the Cubs should fantasy ever translate into reality. Cubs gonna cub; however, cubbery is deeply ingrained.

Losing their 2nd best hitter for 50 games at the end of the year definitely impacted that offense.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

That and losing three of their top pitchers before the season really began.

I would say losing Hamilton hurt. But the way he played this year, they may have been better off. Cruz suspension put a dent in their power.

I bought gm 6 for my iPad when it debuted on itunes, and watch innings 8-11 about every 3 months.

Agreed. I thought they were loaded for bear in the pre-season, despite losing Hamilton (addition via subtraction).

My Wife grew up in DFW and loves the Rangers all her life. She tolerates my Cardinals.
