Something tells me that saying we have no stars on defense is a motivational thing to turn some guys into budding stars. The truth is this defense is a year away from being star studded. That doesn't mean by the end of the year we won't have a few stars emerging.

Richardson showed some flashes in his last full season. I think he will help the D a good bit. And it's good to hear that Ramirez is becoming more a student of the game. That has to help. It will be fun to see where the young guys get in this year

I listened to the Santos interview from yesterday, and all I can say is WOW.  He sounded like a coach.  To me, he came across as very intelligent, and you could hear the knowledge that he has for the defense.  I believe this kid is maturing in front of our eyes.

Based upon the work he has put in, I think he is going to break out this year.  I'm predicting All-SEC next year. The kid has the physical tools, and now it sounds like the light is coming on mentally.  I hope his new found work ethic becomes contagious for players like M Brown, D Harris and others.
