Anyone plan on watching it?

I usually don't but this years class looks like quite a bit of talent.

Hogs49ers

Yah, I am actually pretty excited to watch it tonight!  The 76ers are going to be salty in a couple years, maybe even sneak into the playoffs next year!

Plus with all the free agent trade talk heating up with everyone freaking out trying to keep up with that super team out West, there could be fireworks tonight!

If you are not a big NBA fan, the first round will be much watch TV.
SCREW Vandy!

Talks about Aldridge being traded for a (hopeful) top ten pick, Aldridge didn't perform as well as SA wanted but that's a hell of a proven for potential.

BannerMountainMan

Hahaha Malik suckssss

Bulls take another PF (trade with Minnesota). Someone's gonna be gone there. I kinda hope it's Bobby so he can go somewhere he'll be utilized. The Bulls are a train wreck.

oh let me tell you Erie has got to be happy with his Wolves.  Potential to win the East very soon.  Butler fits them like a glove IMHO.

Mm sliding a little

This is almost as good as Kentucky losing 😂😂

As a Hornets fan it's gonna be fun watching Kemba and Malik light it up in the back court

They're in the West.  Not going to happen soon.  And really, until they unload Rubio, they have no real aspirations to winning big.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Good fit, but I don't want to see him succeed.

Sick of Calipari and ESPN's constant promotion of the guy. Yes, they have many players drafted, but ESPN pumps up the coach and program non-stop. Garbage.

So going to UK got him to the #11 pick....BS.  No way in hell he couldn't do that as a hog.

The #1 pick played for fricken washington.

I know it won't make a bit of a difference, because Cal sends kids to the NBA, but how does Cal not at least make the Finals with three lottery picks like those guys on the same team?

Because he's a salesman and a recruiter. Not a coach.

I know it is crazy right??  On another note, has there even been a single player from the SEC taken other than from UK?

I will tell you who I like a lot and it is Luke Kennard!  And that is saying a lot bc I absolutely hate Duke, but he is just straight up old school and seems like an easy going guy.  I also did not think he would translate to the NBA and would just end up being a great college player, but was excited to see him as a lottery pick!

He'll get on a Summer League team I'd assume because he worked out for several franchises during this process. Then he'll have to see if he lands a spot in the D League or he may go overseas. Same with Dusty

Looks like the kid from Arkansas that went to kentucky may have lost money by going there. Had he been a hog it's very possible he would have played the point at times which likely would have improved his draft stock if he proved he could be a combo guard. Very likely would have been about a top 6-7 pick, not sure the diffence in money there but I'm sure it not chump change

He probably would have gone in the same range IMO. His lack of size for the 2 guard has always been his draw back. Neither MA or Cal could have ever done any about that

I do think he was hurt by the fact his assist and reb numbers were very low. But I'm not sure they would have been much higher if he were here

husker71

if you are a really talented player you must go after your freshman year.  Staying around just costs you money.

Fox is the one who I think will be THE star out of this class.

Sick of all the free pub for Coach Cal - he doesn't need it.

Malik on ESPN right now - an All Access special.
He's doing well - small interview with Marcus, too.

John Calipari is not putting these players in the NBA. Everyone needs to understand theses players where going to the NBA with or without the grease ball. The sad part is the players thought they needed him.

Pancetta

The 76ers are definitely bucking the small ball trend.  They will be starting 4 players of 6'9" or better with their first player off the bench being Okafor.  It would have been funny if they traded the #1 for Porzingis and put him at the 2 just so they could have trotted out a starting lineup of 6'11", 7'4", 6'9", 6'11", 7'1".  It would have made NO sense I know, I just would be entertained by the circus aspect of it.

Sure he can coach, but he also knows how to get out of town before the NCAA sheriff arrives. Two former schools had Final Fours vacated, and not only does he escape punishment, he's celebrated and put in the HOF?!  What a joke.

Fox got the terrible fate of being a King.  That's going to be a huge handicap to his development and future as a pro.  Anywhere else, maybe he becomes the poor man's John Wall.  In Sacro, he's going to be fortunate to survive long enough to get out of town.

It certainly hasn't helped;  we've had big time, Top 20 type players who have come to campus, and not done it.

Kentucky still has a better track record of getting people where they want to go, as does Duke.

And I don't think anyone was calling for Monk in the Lottery before he started playing at UK. He was supposed to be 1 and done, but people thought Fox and Adebayo might outshine him, and he'd go later in the first round.  Main knock was the size, and then he showed everyone he was an elite shooter.

I do not necessarily believe that, they just have 100x more opportunities to have lottery picks, but they also have quite a few top 5 star players that do not pan out or end up lottery picks.
