College Baseball Rankings: Predicting D1Baseball top 25 with new No. 1, multiple new teams

by: Jonathan Wagner

Quote1. Tennessee

2. Kentucky

4. Arkansas

Previous: No. 2 (-2)
Weekly Record: 3-2
Overall Record: 40-9 (17-7 in SEC)

Arkansas played in a pretty big SEC series this weekend in Lexington, facing off with No. 8 Kentucky. The Razorbacks, after winning a pair of midweek games against Missouri State, took the opener against Kentucky 10-3. They fell 11-3 on Saturday to even the series, setting up a decisive rubber game on Sunday. There, Arkansas was unable to come away with the win, falling 7-4.

5. A&M

9. State
What a climb Mississippi State is on, and they now have a very legitimate case to be in the top ten in this week's D1Baseball

14. Georgia (+6)
15. South Carolina

Quote from: Flatline on Yesterday at 07:36:51 pmThe fact that DVH has not figured out who to play full time in the outfield and changes players and line ups daily is something to be concerned about.

It is hard to be a consistent hitter when you are in and out of the lineup every other day or week. He is going to have to make a decision soon. These guys need consistency.

Quote from: Hogo Piglitz on Yesterday at 06:46:12 pmAll 23 of them were hired when Pittman was hired so all of them had the same restrictions.

DeBoer got promoted from Fresno to Washington to Alabama in this time frame. Traylor became the winningest coach in program history at UTSA in the same time frame.

Colorado: Karl Dorrell

Michigan State: Mel Tucker

FAU: Willie Taggart

Colorado State: Steve Addazio

USF: Jeff Scott

UNLV: Marcus Arroyo

Washington: Jimmy Lake

Were fired for not getting it done at their respective universities all hired same month as Pittman.

Are you saying these schools are better  programs than Arkansas?

No SEC teams? Nobody that played ten SEC teams their first year?

NEWS: Arkansas transfer guard Khalif Battle has committed to Gonzaga, he tells @On3sports.

The 6-5 senior averaged nearly 15 PPG in less than 25 minutes per game this season. Also considered Villanova and Kansas State.

Quote from: hoglady on Yesterday at 06:49:54 pmWhy?
Then you'd think the Aggies would also drop.
We lost 2 on the road to the #3 RPI team and SEC leader Kentucky
Aggies lost 2 on the road to unranked LSU who is fighting to just get into postseason.

I think it will be Tennessee, Clemson, Ags, UK, Ark.
