Going to give Fairhope a try this spring. We've stopped off in Fairhope a couple of times before when going to Gulf Shores and always liked the place. This year thought we'd rent a house on the bay instead of going back to Fort Morgan. It's not Gulf front like the Fort Morgan house but it is on the bay and has a 300 foot pier out to a private dock where I can crab and fish. It's just as close to Billy's as the place we stayed in Fort Morgan so there'll be seafood regardless. Planning on a trip or two over to Jessie's in Magnolia Springs as well.

Rental costs are much, much lower too.
