If Les Miles takes the Michigan job after Brady Hoke is fired.  Then both Florida and LSU could very well be looking for coaches this offseason. So who do ya'll think gets those jobs?

Florida - Gruden
Lsu - Ditka

Bobby will be Gruden's offensive coordinator.

St. Augustine don't grow well in Ann Arbor.

tophawg19

Truthfully , I'm more concerned about Michigan making a run at our coach . He has a proven record in the conference and Stevie Wonder can see he is building something here
if you ain't a hawg you ain't chitlins

TMc

Houston Dale can jump on that LSU job.  The two would be a perfect fit!

He already  owned the big ten.  He's an sec guy at this point.  I think hes here  for a good long time.

TeufelHog

Can you imagine the "Nuttster" at LSU?  That would be awesome for everybody else in the conference for maybe 3 years.

PigDaddyKane

Les Miles is 60.  I would imagine he's getting to the point of riding out the string at LSU.  Maybe too old to try and rebuild the dumpster fire that is Michigan football.

You know Dale.  He might actually make a go of it for a year or two before he runs through the talent Les would leave him.

It would be worth it though because CBB would be able to immediately start poaching linemen recruits.

ErieHog

Harbaugh will be Michigan's target.

Florida may come after Mullen.

I've never been sold on him as a head coach. It would be interesting to see if LSU would go after him. I don't think Les is going anywhere.

King

I think LSU would make a run at big names like Malzhan and James Franklin but would end up with someone like Swinney.

I agree Les is not going anywhere.  Florida is a top 5 job so it will be interesting what kind of interest that job can generate.

That Butch can't even get an interview to be a coordinator at a major program should tell you all you need to know about Butch's chances.

It would be interesting to see who Florida would go after. They didn't have many jumping at the job the last time it was open. If I remember correctly. Too much pressure I guess.

Agree.  If it were even about money, it would take a ton of it to get him away from the SEC.  Known fact that SEC is where he wants to be...competing against the best.

I see plenty of coaches jumping around this year , more than normal , I see HDN wanting to make his last run, but the situation will have to be perfect so he can look good , I wonder where the rest of the Murray St Mafia is hiding out !! I'm unsure Dale could get a top notch staff to go with him !!!

Foley probably has Mullen's contract ready to go now.  He will make UF respectable again if not great

Michigan is a program so focused on the past that it is hard to see any high profile coach concerned with his own legacy wanting that job.

We don't have to worry about Bielema being interested in either of those jobs.  The only job I think might present a temptation will be when Iowa comes open.  That would be a purely emotional move and CBB might be tempted.  Half a century ago Georgia Tech was the only other job the Frank Broyles ever considered but by the time it came Frank's ties to Arkansas were equally strong.

Like Frank, CBB has the ideal situation and has declared to the world that Arkansas, not Wisconsin will be the job that defines his legacy.  He really can't bail out.  He has to stay till the SEC beats him or he beats the SEC.

Lloyd Carr carries the Bo Torch, which carries a lot of weight, and I'm not sure he and Harbaugh have patched up their differences

King

I just don't see Harbaugh leaving the NFL for Michigan.  But I don't like the snail helmet either, so what do I know.

thebignasty

I used to think Mullen was the eventual Florida coach until I realized what a perfect match he and Miss St. are.

There are going to be a lot of jobs open at the end of this year.  If Georgia or LSU end up with 3-4 losses I could see Miles or Richt making a move to stay one step ahead of the posse even if they aren't in any real danger of getting fired.

Barring miracle turnarounds Hoke and Muschamp are definitely toast.  Both will go after HC's especially Florida.  They win big when they go after successful HC's from lower programs (Spurrier/Myer), and are mediocre when they go the coordinator route (Zook/Muschamp).

Besides a lot of movement there will be the Jimmy Sexton effect.  A lot of coaches will stay put and get big raises and contract extensions.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

BPsTheMan

this is Dan Mullen's chance to get the H E double hockey stick outta Starkville and he will go almost anywhere he has to go to do it. As in, slightly above a lateral move, he's gone

Besides, that iron-clad 6 year contract that Jeff gave him...almost certainly cuts both ways.
