There are your 4 contending for the title next Sunday.  Seems weird that Logano, Keselowski, Jimmie, etc. aren't in the running, but such is Na$car under the new rules.

I've got 3 of the 4 in my final fantasy lineup.  Not sure if I can catch up.  I'm going with Harvick to repeat.

If not for the Chase, the "Final 4" drivers eligible for the Championship would currently be 1st (Harvick), 5th (Truex, Jr.), 10th (Gordon), and 20th (Busch) in points.  Per Jayski. 

Harvick would have a 20 point lead over Logano heading into the final race.  Dale Jr. would be in 3rd, 87 points back.  Interesting that even with Logano's 3 recent wins, he would still have to make up 20 points at a track that Harvick has had recent success at to get the title, and he would be the only one this weekend with a chance at knocking off Harvick.  Those two were the class of the field this year week in and week out, and one of them doesn't have a shot now.

Please. I love the new chase format. I hated the old ride around for points and not try to win BS we saw at EVERY race under the old format. Winning matters. This is no different than my Cardinals getting beat by a wildcard team this year. Perhaps baseball should go back to the old format and do away with the wild card format. Baseball manufactured a lot of new excitement for more teams by changing. NASCAR has done the same. I love it. Now if they can just reconfigure all the mile and a half tracks to make them more exciting

It just sucks because this year would have been exciting between Logano and Harvick.  Who both have had one of the best seasons we have seen in a very long time.  They would have been neck and neck through the finale.  Everyone remembers 1992, and we would have had a similar repeat this year.

With the inconsistency Harvick has had in the Chase, I think him odds of repeating are bad.

I do believe Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch have an excellent chance.  Harvick's starting position and bad pit stall may be what undoes him.  The rain shortened race is going to throw everything in to flux as well.

Been a Harvick fan for 15 years and have hated Jeff Gordon for 17-20 years.  But I'll admit it would be cool to see Jeff win it in a walk off for his career.  Since Harvick won last year, I'm pretty chill and don't care what happens.

And it's going to be hard to even start the race today.  It's raining HARD right now.  They say no chance of the race starting before 4 PM Central time.  I'm expecting closer to 5 PM at the earliest...
