Well I know this assessment isn't correct for one coach.  He isn't in danger and some never want the heat turned up.

Haith is on the edge of missing the NCAAT.  Not sure he is so secure if they miss the tourney.  He could easily be in the okay for a year or two group.  Probably should have written this piece after the season.
Quote from: MaconBacon on March 22, 2018, 10:30:04 amWe had a good run in the 90's and one NC and now the whole state still laments that we are a top seed program and have kids standing in line to come to good ole Arkansas.  We're just a flash in the pan boys.

Agreed Haith moves down, Stallings moves down a notch, Kennedy definitely moves down a notch as he will be exposed without Henderson, Cuonzo moves down a notch as well.  Cuonzo in my opinion is really in trouble due to Pearl's success and how they have underperformed.

Yeah, Anderson's not even close to being in danger. Maybe if we're still where we are currently (haven't made postseason yet) in 2 years, but I don't think anyone expects that to be the case.

Haith will be gone from Mizzou before Mike is from Arkansas.

I think Grant gets the axe at the end of this season, and Barbee as well. Martin stays at Tennessee if they make NIT, even with all the Pearl talk.

Big generalization by that guy to say that Razorback fans "would really love to get rid of him" about Anderson.

Unless that guy only reads Jump Ball, then he might be correct.

I think least correct is saying we won't fire him because the buy out and jp old contract ... No that's not it.

I think only on jumpball is he correct.

I think Mizzou wants to get rid of Haith more than we want to get rid of Anderson.  Everybody knew what a catastrophe this program has been.

Dude obviously has no clue about Arkansas basketball and the dumpster fire it was.  Who are these people he claims wants him gone?  Is he referring to the bums that call in on 103.7 and spew senseless information?

Only people I ever see/hear calling for Anderson to be fired are here, and a few on the radio.  Not sure where that guy got his info.

I like how Barbee has Auburn trending up, but Anderson is about to get fired.

The Auburn and Arkansas programs are only separated by less than 6 wins in conference play in the decade prior to MA's hire.

MA has yet to have a losing season and Barbee is 40-70, but Barbee is safe and trending up while we are already firing MA if his buyout were lower.

Makes sense.

Mike is not even close to the hit seat. We've gotten better every year

Stupid list. Real stupid.

Well the guy that wrote it was probably wearing a Gator hat.....................................so that explains it.

Don't think Calipari is all the untouchable.  The old guard there don't think he's doing what they thought he would do, when they hired him. With all that flashy recruiting (they will always be young, which is his eternal whine), he has one championship to show for all the one a dones...

If he doesn't go deep into this year's NCAA, the heat will be on for him.

You only get one Anthony Davis in your lifetime.  Even then, he had seniors to stabilize that team, which played as much a role in that year's run as the unselfish play of the phenom...

That article is laughable.

I wouldn't be surprised that after 3 more seasons, the following SEC Head Basketball Coaches will still be a Head Coach in the SEC.

Billy Donovan   Florida
Kevin Stallings   Vanderbilt
Mike Anderson   Arkansas
Rick Ray   Mississippi State
Mark Fox   Georgia

I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the current SEC Head Basketball Coaches are gone.  The rest of the current Head Basketball Coaches are simply not good enough long-haul Coaches to be remaining in the SEC long term.

Rick Ray?  It will be hard to still have a job after 5 straight 17 or more loss seasons.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

In don't know many who would love to get rid of him. I was starting to have doubts when we started 2-5. He needs to continue to recruit better and I still think get a stud recruiter on staff but mike is going nowhere till after 5 years.

I know;  he has to be called on it, each and every time.
