Who will Ole Miss go after?

Well sure, im saying it always seems the ones that are touted as such always seem to be frauds.

All I know is a couple of guys at work tomorrow are going to catch hell.
A couple female midgets, a few bottles of Wild Irish Rose, and a room at the Trout Inn...... who knows what may happen.....

So, why is it that this wasn't discovered during either the NCAA or the OM internal investigation?  Wouldn't one of the first things you do be to look at phone records?  Not much of an investigation without that is it?  They are saying these escorts were for him but it's a very short step to correlate these calls with recruiting weekends.  Surely, OM wouldn't try to hide that after this became public?  Would they?

Makes me think back to the times ole piss fans we're coming on here and "rubbing it in" that they "stole" Nutt from us.. or hog fans on here wishing we had hired Freeze

Actually I think this will probably help OM.

I don't think so.     This means they have to pay Nutt,  their season this year is in the tank, they have to find someone else to sign their name to the brand-- which will be toxic for a while, so it means a multi-year commitment most likely-- so they're going to be stuck for a while.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

So what do we know about the assistant that is taking over as interim HC? He any good?
Guy named Matt Like. I'm not that familiar with him.

Is HDN redeemed?

No.  Why would he be?  If anything, the fact that he would go after a former employer the way he has makes him even more toxic.  Gomer knows his career is over.  That is why he is going burnt Earth.

I would say "coaching career" but he is a fake, not a real coach.

That is a HUGE problem for them. No coach worth even half of his salt will touch that job until the investigation is concluded and the sanctions against Ole Miss are leveled. I wouldn't be surprised to see Luke, the interim HC, get the job by default.

Why are you guys so excited to see a coach we have owned get fired?

1...SEC W rival that we compete for recruits

2...The past two coaches caught talking to special lady friends was both our HC. Now we don't have to hear about CBP and it'll be CHF

The press conference made me want to puke. What a bunch of hypocrites.  It's okay to rape the NCAA recruiting regulations, but don't dare call an escort service, or we'll avail ourselves of our right to terminate your contract for engaging in acts of moral turpitude and save our asses a ton of money when you get sued for carrying out the plan we hatched to deflect blame for our conduct on our old joke of a head coach.

Ole Miss just slid under Auburn.  Didn't think that was possible.

Doesn't that only apply to taking an identical assistant position in the league, not a HC job? Personally, I doubt Enos would want any part of ole Miss, or any reputable coach currently. At least not until everything regarding the investigation and sanctions are over.

That would be a good option, he would just need to hire a more open OC. Lester wouldn't be able to fallback on talent like he was at LSU to get him out of moronic decisions he makes.

Interesting some parties are claiming it was a misdial and back that up with the "fact" the call lasted less than a minute.

IF (and that's a big if) that statement is true, then there must be some baaaaaaaaaaad darn deeper down that would force this hand to be played rather than trying to play it off as a misdialed, harmless phone call.

Non-compete doesn't matter if his contact runs to an end.  When does it expire?

Chip Kelly though . . . hmmmmm.  That would be a good hire for them if they could pull it off.

Current recruiting class/future classes just got interesting.  Time to call some recent OM commits . . . Blaine Scott maybe.

TebowHater

Non-compete 100% does not prohibit taking a head SEC coaching job, period. And if we tried to say it did, it would go to court, and we would probably lose. At worst for him, he would owe a little bit of money.

But that's just not something you put in contracts. No one would come work for a coach who prohibits you from taking a once in a life time promotion; knowing Bielema, he probably would advocate for Dan to get the job.
