Losses at Auburn, Ole Miss, and S. Carolina will turn this place into meltdown city, especially Auburn and Ole Miss back to back.

I'm going with 11-2 Non-Conference and 12-6 Conference.  23-8 heading into the SEC tournament.  Strong enough schedule to guarantee a bid no matter what happens in the SEC Tourney.

My edits bolded. Also somewhat optimistic: 24-7 (13-5). I think we split the Auburn/Ole Miss road trip. Picked Auburn obligatorily but I think each one is 50/50.

I think you have the most "realistic" prediction for our record, but as of right now I'm going really optimistic until I can really see some flaws and see how developed Durham and Beard are.

Overall I really like this year's schedule, we're setup to go into the tourney even if we have some rough spots.  I could see us going 10-3 in non-conference and maybe winning 11-12 games in conference and still being a tournament team, our SOS should be really good.

I'm probably in the same ball park, just eye-balling it. I think we take the L at SMU, so our non-con record would be 11-2 but I think we'll win at least 13 conference games. Told myself I wouldn't predict individual conference games too far in advance this year but I like us to win 12-14 games in the SEC.

We don't really have much opportunity to win a really big home game in-conference unless LSU really does well. I mean, we should win really all of those games. We almost have to. Maybe a couple of teams will do better than expected.

It's hard to predict this team, because on paper, our team actually has few weaknesses. How we play away from home is everything, but this team has shooting, inside scoring, rebounding, shot blocking, ball distribution, and defense. Plus veterans with leadership skills. Just don't suck away from home.

^This right here.  Looking at that schedule it's only a couple games on the road that you would say we should no doubt win.  But, the home schedule looks very favorable, if we play at home like we have the past couple years we shouldn't see any home losses.  I think if we do that then get at least 3 road wins we're a lock and a decent seed in the tourney.

I'm weary to say anything better than 11-2 in non-conference.  Iowa State lost their two best scorers from last season and only have one new freshman coming who was ranked around the same as Beard.  I feel better about Iowa St than I do SMU.  Clemson we should win, but I still think we come out of those with two losses.  We also never do as well in conference as we expect, so I'm gonna guess:

11-2 Non-Conference, 10-0 at home, 1-2 on the road
12-6 Conference 8-1 at home, 4-5 on the road.
23-8 Overall

Well, since we should have a good rpi we might not really need any SEC tourney wins. Who knows though!

I hope we can do better than 3-6 in conference road games. If we could win at least 5:

That looks closer to right to me. Although, I think I might take us over UGA on the road. We should've beat them down there last year. Another year in the belts for our big men should pay some dividends against the Dawgs. South Carolina would be the other possible pick-off on the road in conference. If we lose both of those games, then we are probably a bubble team needing to win one to get in at the SEC tourny.

I predict we are better than last year's team and that we make the NCAA and make a little noise in the tourney. At least Sweet 16.

I have the same sort of gut feeling.  It just seems like things are coming together this year.  The team, the schedule, all set up very nice for a major bounce back year.

Nobody else going to ride with me on us upsetting Kentucky again?  Some reason I think we'll either pull an upset @FL or @KY not sure which one.  I'm actually starting to lean more towards FL now, for some reason I just got a feeling they aren't going to be as good as everyone thinks, and after watching KY play this summer, they are REALLY good.  And I think they are better equipped this year with their depth to play us, but Coach Cal has historically struggled against Mike Anderson's teams, and on paper this is probably Mike's best team since his elite 8 team.

I thought about it but decided against it.  I can't really explain why though.  We have beat Kentucky 4 out of the last 5 times.  We are really on kind of a roll against them and nobody seems to acknowledge it.  It wouldn't surprise me a bit if we beat them again and before the game I'll probably contradict myself and pick us to win.

Overall 25-6

Finish in the top 20 with about a 5 slot in the tourney, give or take. Wins at UGA and/or Tennessee would be do-able and really put us over the top.

Our three biggest games are all on the road -- UF, UK, and ISU. Winning any one of those would really make it a great season. Absolutely possible. If we win one (or two) of those games, I think we'd have a top 10 season.

@ Mizzou, @ SC (should be greatly improved, and @ Tennessee are the wins I'd be most worried about that I have as W's.

Auburn is obviously a somewhat unknown commodity. How much better can they be right off the bat?

I'm trying to remember my prediction;  I know I put it in one of the threads before the season started, but haven't been able to dig it out.

I want to say I guessed 24-7 or 23-8.    Its been too long, and even searching my post history hasn't proven fruitful.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Other than Kentucky the rest of the SEC has looked awful....  Florida may get healthy, but they are not very good right now.... Arkansas is a clear top 2 in the conference with a win tonight. I predict the Hogs win by 12!

I was only off 1 win but projected they finish 2nd!
SEC!

24-7 (13-5). 1-1 in Nashville, 25-8 heading into NCAAT.

Should be good for a 6 or 7 seed.

Called the overall and conference records correctly, but not every game. Hope to win two in Nashville, not just one. 5 seed if they win two, 6 seed if they win one.
Identity theft is not a joke, Jim. Millions of families suffer every year.
