QuoteNearly one-third of Auburn students with tickets to last week's 56-3 rout of Arkansas were not in attendance at Jordan-Hare Stadium according to a report by The Plainsman.

The student newspaper cites an Auburn Student Government Association officer as stating "almost 5,000" students with tickets did not attend to last week's game, which was an announced sellout crowd of 87,451, but had a visibly large section empty portion of the student section.

"We had at least 14,500 tickets distributed and only just under 10,000 swipes (at the Arkansas game)," executive vice president of program Hunter Gibson said, according to the paper. "Almost 5,000 people had a ticket and didn't come."

There were less than capacity crowds for back-to-back games against Arkansas State (86,825) and Texas A&M (87,175) and later against ULM (84,243), the smallest Auburn home crowd in nearly three years.

Auburn has home games with Vanderbilt (Nov. 5) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 19) remaining.

Those should put student butts in seats.
