Heck, Har-Ber had TWO future Razorbacks on their team a couple years ago and didn't win the state championship in basketball.

Northside won it with Kodi Burns, a football player.

Go figure.

There is a kid in my daughter's 2nd grade class named Kiran.  Kiran is 7 years old, 5'7, 130 lean lbs and wears a size 11....men's 11, shoe.  His hands look like bear paws.  He could pass for a high school freshman just looking at him.  Biggest kid I've ever seen at such a young age

How many times was he held back? ;)

Marshfieldhog

Grit said he was 7-1 and runs a 4.2...says the kid loves HDN and wants to play pickup games with him.

mbgrulz

he is 6-9. i have heard him described as a guy with potentially steven hill type athleticism and a MUCH better offensive game. also heard that the Dr.'s said he could be 7-3 based on his growth plates.

northside didn't make the playoffs in FB (when only 4 teams in the state stay home) with an SEC caliber QB.

Har-Ber couldn't win state in BB with 2 SEC caliber (maybe) players.

a team's success is not always a good marker of that team s best player (ronnie brewer, a lottery pick, can't win a title).

Were any "snaps" taken in his office?

Bill Brasky sold Bobby Vint to scurvy pirates.  For 3 years Vint was forced to do hard labor on a pirate ship.  While he was gone Bill Brasky sired those beautiful children with Vint's wife.

We need some YouTube video of this VB kid.  Someone take a video camera to a game.

I'm not sure what the NBA lists Corliss at, but he is taller than 6'4 1/2".  I'm 6'4 and when I played against him in HS he was taller than I was.  By at least 2 inches.  I scored 24 on him too.  Of course he went for 50+ that game.

My boy is a shade under 5ft and weights 75 lbs and he is in the 1st grade.  Schollie?

If you don't know, now you know.

There is a kid out of Searcy in ninth grade that is 6'8" with a size 19 shoe.  He can do it all.  He don't look uncomfortable with his size.

The boys in the 9th grade in Searcy (they have lost only one game to Greenbrier) are better than the 9th grade girls in Searcy.  Searcy girls only have one stand out basketball player in the 9th grade.

Pel should be in Lapento Arkansas watching Marcus Monks little cousin.

His name is Ky Madden, he is about 6'5" and is a small forward.  He is the real deal.

What Is A Veteran?

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.

Team sport...if they have shotty guards and weak defense, there's only so much one guy can do.

I remember when Lee Wilson's team played in the King Cotton(?) his senior year and they got shelled 72-24.  Wilson's team "didn't have good guards".  How'd that turn out for us?

I have officiated some of this kids jr high games and several of his summer league games in Springdale and Clarksville..I am almost 6/5..He is about 6/10 and he is growing. Legit 6/10. He runs very well has a nice shot and is a great shot blocker when the officials don't call fouls on clean blocks. He does lack strength. I think his mom played at Westark which is now UAFS, she's taller than 6/0 if I remember her from Westark I think she is about 6/2?

This kid will be over 7ft..People can bash him all they want and will. For some reason Arkansas fans belittle Arkansas talent. I remember watching Ronnie Brewer play at UAFS against Hunter and Brewer was aweful..Hunter looked great I left thinking Hunter would be great and Brewer would never  play at Arkansas.  Arkansas needs to get this kid! Needs strength and needs to get on an AAU team out of Little Rock or Ft Smith, he needs to play on a team that is playing agianst the best AAU teams. He plays on a team out or Alma and they play MAYB tourneys.

This kid can be as good as he wants to be..I can't stress this enough. Don't judgge him on how he plays in school ball where everytime he moves he gets called for a foul. I look forward to seeing this kid mature and become a possible High School All American. He moves very well for a kid his size though.

The owner of the company I work for, coaches AAU with Marvin Delph. They have persued Bobby and his wife over the last year trying to get them to let Hooper play AAU out of Little Rock. Unfortunately they have expressed no interest in Hooper playing competitive AAU basketball.

I certainly hope that changes. He needs to play on a very competitive team that is going to go to nationals and play the best big men in the entire country.

Lets settle this.  His name is Bill Brasky Jr, he is 7'10", weighs only 192lbs and can run around the state in less than 10 minutes.  He only scored 23 pts because late in the 1st Q he jumped for a rebound, and still has not come down yet.
People ask me what I do in winter when there is no baseball.  I will tell you what I do. I stare out the window, and I wait for spring.

They are really holding him back..He needs to be at the AAU State and Nationals. I don't understand the parents not making the commitment to play with a top level AAU program. He needs this. I wonder if the Van Buren coach is against the AAU team?

The kid has a lot of tools and great talent. Needs competition and needs it now or this summer..He's going to be recruited by a lot of bigtime top 10 programs but he if he doesn't get out of Arkansas and prove himself against top talent they are really retarding his development. I hope his parents take him to play with your friends AAU Team. He really needs it..

I think he is being raised by his mom and her husband. Not Bobby. I hope I am not going over the line here but I haven't seen Bobby at any of his games. I know Bobby from his Westark days.

Also he is a very nice kid. Fun to ref his games he has a very good attitude. He is a competetor also. I see him really becoming a great player..He has been raised well!

Kevin

he does not need more games. he needs to get in a gym and work on his game.

OK whatever. I have coached and had many kids go on to play college! He needs both games and work in the gym.

Needs work in the weight room also. Goes without saying he's 15 years old. I think from talking to him he is working on his game. I don't see skill as a problem for this kid. Needs better comp and needs strength..But he need to play the best that AAU has to offer. Mayb is for school teams and is a fine organization. If you are an elite player you need to get out of the state of Arkansas.

Kevin

i coached in college and i work kids out and coach aau.

now, we have compared resumes,

let me say this:  the best players in the world once their season is over with don't go find other teams to play on, they hire personal coaches to make them better.

games are only part of the equation.

If he's so tall why not move him up the the JV squad or even get some minutes in Varsity ball. Hopefully he does some AAU ball to get some exposure.

9th graders can't play Varsity in 7A, it may be just a 7A West rule. It applies to Football and Basketball.  Russellville fought to get the rule changed when Corliss was a 9th grader but was unsuccessful.

I have played ball at a high level and have raised two kids that went on to play in college. One set a lot of records and the other ended up hurt. I bet those NBA players all played AAU basketball at 14-15-16-17-18 years old. There are also a lot of lowlife wannabe coaches that are charging big money to work with kids one on one? Are you one of those gurus?
I have been around a lot of top AAU teams and this kid needs to be playing against the best. He doesn't need to pay big money to some guy to work him out.

Comparing NBA players to kids in jr high pretty much shows you don't have a clue. On coaching in college..Now is that at a  Jr College? NAIA? Some pathetic place where coaches come because they can teach a certain subject? I think it's pretty much agreed that kids in small towns need to play AAU basketball! You are the only so called coach I have heard that didn't agree that kids need to play against the best to be the best.

A lot of high school coaches hate AAU because they can't control the kid. I do agree he needs gym time and weight room time..It is disgusting that many assistant college coaches are charging kids 50 to 100 bucks an hour to do the private basketball leasons..It's a joke and really most of them are just wasting their money.

If you want to compare resumes then lets meet and play a little one on one?

Yes, his mom played at Westark (UAFS) during the 1987-1989 seasons.  I can't remember if she played for anyone after that or not.  She is close to 6' 2".

coach, my back hurts

Yeah, sure, i've heard of the kid.  That kid is a sunavab!tch.  In an 8th grade school play the kid chloroformed the entire cast and slowly ate them in front the audience for 2 hours.  The play got pretty good reviews.

Pretty good trader too.  He orcastrated the merger between Unicef and Smith and Wesson.  The kid is at least '6-5, 275lb.

They say he got China Doll pregnant.  She gave birth to a delicious 16oz Ribeye.  The afterbirth was sauteed mushrooms.

His high school uses his foreskin as a tarp to cover the infield when it rains.  The damn kids' '7 tall and weighs 350.

He went hunting one time as well, good story.  He decided that he was going to hunt down all 4 of the "Banana Splits".  He stalks and kills everyone of them with a masheti.  They all begged for their lives.....except Fleegle.  True story.

The kid was ranked 15th in last yrs AP college football poll.

When he turned 14 his friends gave him a huge cake.  He ate the whole thing before anyone could tell him there was a stripper in it.  The kid's an 8ft tall beast that showers in Vodka and feeds his kids shrimp scampi.

He breast feeds John Madden.  He also named the group "Sha Na Na"............they DID NOT want to be called that.

I hear the kid still believes in Santa Claus and wants to put him in porno films, he thinks the Iron Man is gay, and he framed Roger Rabbit.

The character of "Johnny Appleseed" was based on this young kid.  Except for the part on planting appletrees and not raping men.

Good kid.  Should be dandy time he's a Sr.

He's 6'10"

Same height as Vincent Hunter and he's 15.

He had 23 and 14 while being triple teamed at a football school. It's still early, but he's likely going to be 7' + and he had good hands and he's athletic. Just needs to gain weight.

Additionally, the current coaching staff doesn't make a habit of going to Junior High games, so when they do, you better believe that they see potential in the kid. You cannot coach a kid to be 7 feet tall!

The guards in Branson never threw the ball to Hill either, so his stats were very average in high school.  It took him going to a D-I school that stressed teamwork for him to truly blossom into the player he is today.  You can also see how his stats improved...... wait a minute.....

Which is it?

Chiefsfan..He's about 6/10. If he's not he's very close and he's going to be a legit 7fter. This is not a 6/8 kid he's a legit 6/10..

He is built a lot like Hunter. I haven't seen him lately but last time I talked to him he had to be very close to 6/10..Like I said I am right at 6/5 and he is a lot taller than I am. My son is 6/7 barefoot and that kid is significantly taller than he is.

He's plenty tall enough!!! If you meet him you will know that for a fact..
