No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I posted this in another thread but I think it fits better here:

Just got back from Vegas and looking at the odds to win the National Championship, one could infer that Vegas expects us to win the SEC West.

Tennessee   12/1
Kentucky     25/1
Arkansas     30/1
Alabama      35/1
Miss. St.     50/1
Florida        75/1
Vanderbilt    125/1
LSU            125/1
Auburn        150/1
Georgia        250/1
"From the start/ She knew she had it made/ Easy up 'til then/ For sure she'd make the grade/ Adorers came in hordes/ To lay down in her wake/ Gave it all she had/ But treasures slowly fade.

Now she's falling hard/ Feels the fall of dark/ How did this fall apart?/ She drinks to fill it up/ A smile of sweetest flowers/ Wilted so and soured/ Black tears stain the cheeks/ That once were so admired.

She thinks when she was small/ There on her father's knee/ How he had promised her,/ "You'll always be my baby."

"Daddy come quick,/ The dreaming tree has died/ I can't find my way home/ There is no place to hide/ The dreaming tree has died."

Well I guess it's a place to start.
Hopefully we can climb up into the top 12 by year end.

A #3-4 seed would sure be better than a 5 or below in the NCAAs.
It seems like 5-11 match ups are always upsets waiting to happen.

I might have to throw a little on Tenn at those odds.  They're team is seriously stacked this year.  IMO they should be in the top 3-4 preseason.  They're backcourt is no joke.
