Seems like remember alot of people on this board claiming that they were gonna start going to Tulsa games since Gus is now over there.  Its put up or shut up time.  Who all is going to live up to what they claimed?

It's put up or shut time?

Hugehogsfan

Put up or shut time for who?

Swino

I'm looking forward to a good game.  OU has too much talent for TU, but I'll be rooting for TU.

No_nuts

I'm betting at the end of the year Tulsa will have more wins
than Arkansas.

Silver Hog

I watch Tulsa games and don't watch UA games.

BigArkyintheRock

Hey, Appy State knocked off Meechigan, so you never know...GO TULSA!!

WPS! :razorback:
And in the 10th year, the Razorback faithful finally fired Houston Dale Nutt! Preach this, brotha!

More wins......more yards.....more pass completions.....more national respect.....more hope for the future......more starters from the state of Arkansas......more football knowledge standing on their sidelines......

Hell......we could do this all day.

I am a die-hard hog fan, but tonight I am having people over for the game.  We will be wearing blue and rooting for TU!

I am going to 2 TU games this year.  I gave up my hog tickets and did not donate to the foundation this year.

With that said, I picked up a free ticket to tomorrow's game so I'll be calling the hogs tomorrow night!

sharks89

Too bad Tulsa isn't playing Texass instead.

The LongWhorns are ripe for an upset after close calls with Arkansas State and Central Florida - Texass was very lucky to win those two games.
Go Hogs!

The Hog

Tulsa should lose but I am more interested in seeing how the Hurricane offense performs against the OU defense.  Should be interesting.
Automatic RUN!

phadedhawg

I don't see how Tulsa can drop this game with Gus coaching.  I think Tulsa wins big!

I'm having a hard time finding an internet feed of the game, alas.   I'd love to watch the game-- but I love all of college football as a fan.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

You know why.  This thinking and attitude that a person must not show any critical attitude or make any critical remarks about the Razorback program is no longer justifiable.  The PTB have shown themselves not worthy of that.  Pressure must be applied if the program is ever going to be what it should be.  A spade must be honestly and objectively called a spade.  Straight forward above board factual situations must be discussed, the negative even more so than the positive at this time.  There is no other way as has been show by the current situation with our coaching staff and administration.

More Passing - Yes
More Rushing - No
More Natl Respect - No See DMac, CUSA vs SEC
More Hope - No , This staff wont be here long.  Good for a couple of years then off to bigger and better things.  Back to same ole same ole TU.
More starters from AR- No, I hope you were kidding.
More knowledge - ??
Go Hogs. Go Noles.

I do wish the GUS BUS all the best hope they give OU all they want to night it just gives me someone else to root
for when they are playing OU.

OU is likely to win easily, but this has the feeling of an upset special.  It's not unthinkable.

I'm just looking forward to seeing the game.  I will say it's about as excited as I've been about a non-Razorback regular season game in a long time.  That surprises me.  I haven't forgiven Tulsa for beating us in Fayetteville in the early '70's.
Life is too short for grudges and feuds.

ProudHawg

Hey fellas, does OU still run the ol' wing T?  Regardless, Coach Switzer is gonna have those mighty fine young men ready to come out and punch Tulsa football right in the kisser!

If so, they shall be victorious against Mr. Malzahns football offense that features the forward football pass.

Back in the 30s I said it would not work, and it never has especially here at Arkansas.  Don't get stuck on it fellas, it definitely is not the cat's meow baby.

I could ask why you post on this particular Arkansas board instead of spending all your time on Hawgs Illustrated with the rest of the Nutt hugging nation.

Never been on Hawgs Illustrated before. I'm not a nutt hugger. I'm a Razorback fan and supporter. I was just wondering why some one would post numerous times a day on a Hog message board and not watch Hog games. Does that answer your smart azz reply?

OU has too much talent, they should win, but boy I sure do love watching Gus' offense when it's clicking. When I think about that offense at Arkansas with our athletes, it would work, even in the SEC, the Indy Colts, Florida, the examples are out there.

Porkyswine

So, IMO, If he scores more that 28 pts on OU -- Look out.  I don't give a F*** who wins.  28 pts by a mid major on OU, Nutt bites what's left of his fingernails.

I'm rooting for Tulsa. Prolly would have tried to scrounge a ticket but I just got off work.

Some of the man love for Gus is nauseating. Tulsa gets romped 2nite.

Lord of the Hogs

So, if points against a major program is all that matters and not wins, then why all the hate for D Lee? Didn't we put up some points on Bama last week?

BigDeal

History shows I have always liked Gus. Unfortunately, he is getting embarrassed tonight with that offense.

If he scores 28, it will be against OU 3rd team.  This game is going just as I figured.  TU offense fun to watch, but unproductive in the grand scheme of things.  There is NO WAY we could have run that offense last year.  We didn't have a QB that could run or pass nearly as good as TU's.  That offense is relying on a very mobile QB.  DMac is the only player who could QB that offense for us.

BigDeal

I just saw a hogville darksider on TV in the Tulsa crowd. He had a sign that said "In Gus We Trust"

Points on a major program by a MID-major counts.  Points on a major program by a MAJOR program mean squat if you lose.

Oooops I forgot, Huggs think we ARE a mid-major.  WTH was I thinking?

You are correct. Let me tell you the problem with Gus's offense. It may be genius, but too complicated. It WON'T EVER work. Sorry. This reminds me of genius technology that has been developed for the Internets, but never comes into play because it is too difficult for developers and engineers to get their hands around it. Same problem with Gus' offense. He will never find a group of guys in college that will get it enough.

I the hell know there is a lot of man love for him on here. I don't dislike him but TU gets beat badly tonight. Heard the game was moved up thus the question thanks.

cmakrzrbak

Who thinks we woud be moving the ball on OU like this?  Theyve easiy surpassed all of OU's other opponents in yardage in the first half, and are going to get plenty more.  If their 'D' was average they could win this game.

Nutt shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Gus.  Gus is TRULY doing more with less.
