another TD by Troy, now it's just embarrassing
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

Either Troy is not too bad or OSU sucks. I think it is the latter

This game should be about 50-10.  Troy has blown a couple of TD chances .   OSUcks.

I think it's a little bit of both.  Troy did put 26 on us and 31 on FL.  The Pokes just can't get going and are having a more difficult time stopping them.

Go Troy, maybe a couple of those OSU commits will rethink about the Hogs.  Pokes are going no where.
Speaking of that, I didn't get in on the game until the 2nd quarter, has William Cole played yet?

TransAmHawg

Which bring up an interesting point. If OSU's coach Grumpy was to tank it this year, would that be a good place for Dale? It is his alma matter. He's could love the hat. I think it might just work if they fired Grumpy.
I think this Larry Blakeley is a good coach. he's good at getting his guy's to play hard and above their ability. Very good play calling and execution. He has obviously recruited very well to have as good a team as Troy. Sunbelt champs. What could he do with the talent Dale is squandering away here? Troy scores again. They are taking OSU to the woodshed.
Larry Blakeley is way better a coach than Dale on his best day, without textual distractions.

Does anyone fell better that we shut Troy's offense down in the second half. I may be feeling a little better about our defense. Tomorrow will tell.

Haven't seen him...but I have been paying more attention to Troy so I could have missed him.

Well, Georgia beat OSU 35-14.

Troy is making them look horrible though and of course Troy does play at Georgia later in the year.

haha, did you just hear the announcers say that Troy may be the best team in Alabama?

Yes, watching the way their offense is executing and marching down the field absolutely makes me feel better about our defense.  With the way Troy's defense is shutting down OSU, I feel a little better about our offense too.  And yes I realize OSU sucks.. ;)

Very nice comments from Mr. Blackledge.

Man, talking about Arkansas in this game. Heck yes! The guy on the phone was very pro-Hogs.

whatsshakinbacon

Nice compliments from Blackledge - good coverage of our backfield.  Sounds like his Heisman ballot has already been cast.

I agree.  BUT, it will help us from a strategic standpoint of recruiting during the upcoming offseason with him minimizing it.

HOPEFULLY, recruiting that doesn't involve Nutt.

Blackledge is dead on in his comments about players transferring ....and he is correct in that it was way overblown.

Only in Arkansas.

No, but it still galls me to think of people thinking HDN took the high road on this one.  I guess it is just a flash point for me.

When it all happpened we all knew it would be this way with the national media.  That is something we talked about when it all went down.

I'd sure like to see Nutt make a move to OSU.  They keep playing like this and it just might happen. ;)

I just figure since they (Nutt & Co.) are in a position to shape perception/national media opinion and we are not, it's probably best that the off season stuff die off.

Nutt will move on at the end of the year and we'll be rid of our cancer of the Nutts.

Troy 34
OSU 10

Late 3rd quarter

Yeah, and it should be more.  Troy has had some terrible decisions today (Hogaboom throwing an Int on a 3rd and goal, Troy faking a punt and failing inside their own 15, bad clock management at the half producing 0 points in a red zone drive).

No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

NuttinItUp

OSU looks like shite. Don't know if anyone has noticed.

Not sure if that is good news for Arkansas or bad news for OSU/Florida, but it is definitely something.

COCHISE

Okie St. is the worst team I've seen play this year, live or on T.V.  Mr. Pickens needs to fork over some more money and buy the Cowboys some players.. ;)

VandyHog

They really do look awful.  You get the feeling that Troy is just goofing around with them at this point.  This thing could be a huge blowout.

I think its in part due to people short-selling Troy, but there is a considerable short-week factor coming into play-- then again, Troy is playing on the same short week, but its always harder for the bigger school to get up for these games.

The short week thing it seems like would affect Troy more than OSU.  Troy played the Gators last weekend.  OSU played Florida Atlantic.

A 2-1 deal, with lower money payouts than usual for the 2 games at OSU.

For the same reason they went to Georgia.  All the renovations on their new stadium are going to be done next season so this way they will have several home games right in a row at the start of next season, including Georgia.

I think Troy wasn't intimidated tonight, partially because of who they played.   OSU took its Georgia beating, then sleepwalked through a win over FAU.   Its easy to see how a team like that can get lost on its way to conference play.

Yeah, you would think they would have questioned that decision after Missouri went down there and got whipped a couple of years ago.  Troy is 2-0 against the Big 12 in Troy.
