31-28 Louisville.  There D blows,  Mid Tenn State is ripping off huge runs.  If LV defense is like this all year they will be an 8-4 team and Brohm will not win the Heisman.  We need MTSU to win this one.

This game is unreal!!!

It's like watching a freaking Video Game.

Those butterfly offenses score so fast it just messes you up!
Life is too short for grudges and feuds.

Buck Brewer

Dd you hear the fans boo them goinginto half, I suspect that would happen here ten fold. points do you no good without some D.

I think here real soon Louisville will be wishing they were still in the C-USA.
What would that have to do with it? This is a non-conference game.

Their run is not sustainable. They will not be a year in, year out team five years of average, two years good cycle, Think TCU, Think Okie St.

Hasn't TCU won 10 games (out of just 12 or so, not 14) 4 of the last 5 years or something like that?

Kragthorpe could have been ours.  Let's not pass on Patterson.

Sure, they are in the Mountain West. What has that got them outside of conference play. Louisville would do the same in the C-USA, thats why I say they'll regret the move. They'd have better records.

It's gotten them at least one win over OU.  Saying they're in a lesser conference isn't really a negative, because they're winning against schools with equal resources.

Louisville has had very good records in the conference it's in - what's your point?

Its only been there for what, three years, its a shell of itself as well. Four teams worth mentioning and over rated at that.

You'll never mention TCU and NC in the same breath no matter what their record it cause they are in the Mountain West.  Thats my point.

NuttinItUp

Is anyone rooting for either of these teams?

MT punting back to Louisville.

What a defensive stance!  It only took a 10 yard penalty to slow MTSU down :)

Louisville now at MT's 38.  Pass Int in the end zone on MT.

riccoar

I don't feel either way for Louisville, so I wouldn't mind seeing MT pull the upset.

riccoar

1st and goal Louisville at MT's 10.

OK, Louisville is overrated, whatever you say.

Of course you won't mention TCU and the national championship in the same breath, but not because of coaching, because of conference affiliation.  You won't mention Utah and NC in the same breath - does that mean Urban Meyer wouldn't have been a good hire?

Razorfox

Man, what I wouldn't give for that?  They have a pretty decent power running game AND a great passing game where they'll spread the defense out and get their players in space.  They'll have 750 yards in this game probably.  Granted, their defense sucked it up in the first half, but I think they'll do a lot better now that they got their arses chewed on at half-time.

riccoar

MT holds on 3rd and goal from the 13.

Fatty McGee

You wouldn't have had to give much for it.  It was 90 miles away waiting for the UofA to pick it up last year.

All this tough defense in the 2nd half :)

Maybe they wore themselves out scoring in the 1st half :)

Now, after 4-7 and 5-6 seasons, that would have been a different story.

Rooka

It would be awesome, but it is just the weak d that I couldnt handle.  If MTSU can give them a good game and it is 38-35 at halftime, they could barely outscore MTSU because there d is so weak, I couldnt live with that. When they play WVU they are going to get ripped apart.

tophawg19

i wouldn't mind having the MTSU coach he is going toe to toe with louisville . with a hell of a lot less talent. great play calling on offense

Lou's Pep Talk.  Anyone notice this half-time segment.  They have Lou's shirt unbuttoned and tie down.  The look is too stupid,  it's too purposeful.  They could have had the shirt unbuttoned but should have had the tie up a bit more.
Give them some Shrute bucks.

A true motivational tool.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

Razorfox

I bet their defense isn't that much worse than ours.  I think they were probably just playing like crap in that half.  It's the same DC they've had for four years and their D hasn't been that bad until this game.

riccoar

MT running the ball pretty good.

PorkSoda

THis is ridiculous, no team in the top ten should give up that many points to middle tennesse.  I hope MT kicks thier butt right out of the top 25.  we need to get all the posers outta the rankings.

896 total offense between the two so far

I'm not sure if I want their defense.  Ouch.
#8 might go down.

I doubt it.  They regularly beat Kentucky.  And, they face them next week.

ErieHog

Looks like Louisville may establish some separation here.  Too bad, I was hoping for an MTSU upset.

THEY'RE PLAYING MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE!.

Get MTSU up to Fayettevilleand everyone will say they'll love the offense in which McFadden and Jones are breaking a 60+ yard run on every other play.

PorkSoda

kentucky is slightly better than miss and miss st

louisville and Michigan have no D.  there is no reason these teams should be scoring like that.  its pathetic.

That's the point.  You said they'd be down with the Mississippi schools.
And, L'ville beat them soundly last year without their #1 RB who got hurt in the first half.

Any body want to take bets on that game.  I got UK
Arkansas convert.  From Gator and Gamecock to hogwild.

Razorfox

Last year:

Destroyed Kentucky 59 - 28
Destroyed Miami, FL 31 - 7
Beat #3 West Virginia 44 - 34
Won a BCS bowl game against Wake Forrest 24 -13

The rest of their games against lesser opponents were mostly lopsided victories for them
They're coach was hired to go coach an NFL team
Right now they're ranked ahead of us with a VERY good chance of playing in the NC game this year.

RypTyde

Kentucky beat the "best" running back combo in the country last year.  UK may be tough man.
Arkansas convert.  From Gator and Gamecock to hogwild.

RypTyde

Louisville better not let UK score like this
Arkansas convert.  From Gator and Gamecock to hogwild.

It will be interesing to see played out.

Pigzwillfly

I'd rather take take a rushing attack equal to Louisville's passing attack. You'd be stupid not to.

Pigzwillfly

Phillip Tanner has 9 carries for 140ish....McFadden Jones and company = over 300

Dwight_K_Shrute

Think again MTSU 41 LV 51 a whole quarter left to go

I'll hold out hope when they stop Louisville from marching up and down the field once.

This Tanner kid is a Sophomre and the #190 RB out of HS when he was a Senior.
144 yards at 16 per.  Impressive.
DeMarco McNair also has 156 total yards and 2 scores.
