Tough crowd today...........

That's right, hSv, a really tough crowd.
BTW, how 'bout them Cowboys

I see........

Don't even get me started on last nights game.

Stupid refs...

;)

Yuk yuk yuk.  As if my KC Chiefs did any better.  At least we finally got a first down...

Guys, I think they look a little similar.  They both have the bobbing head tired eyed slouching shoulder look if you ask me.  But nobody did.

Bacon out...

See the last line of my sig.

Last year, or year before, I posted that Townes had a scowl that reminded me of somebody fierce. But dammit, my mind is gone even more than last year. I can't remember it, but I'm sure it was profound at the time. I am sure that Scotty nor Vincent had nothing to do with it.

Where's my gingko biloba, dammit?? WAIT--even as we speak (I have to move my lips to type)---I think I'm remembering that Townes, in a rage, looks like legendary coach John Thompson, on Valium. I could be wrong.

One reason for Hunter's excellent 3 point % is that he's good about ceasing to shoot if he misses a couple.

The main reason is that defenses generally leave him alone to shoot that shot so he's always wide open every time he takes a 3.

I would imagine that if everyone on the team went to the gym and shot 1000 three-pointers against no defense, Hunter would wind up with the 6th most, behind Cranford, Beverley, Welsh, Ervin and Weems. He might be close to Ervin and Weems.

Have fun with your imagination. I dreamed last night that I could fly.

Too bad we can't get the NCAA or SEC to agree to that "1000 shots in an empty gym" idea. Then maybe Cranford, Welsh, & McCurdy could show what great shooters they are.

would mccurdy not be in the top seven? jeez, he's a point guard. can he not shoot?

Maybe he can shoot. He just hasn't shown it the last 1 1/2 years.

Don't know what "top seven" you're talking about. McCurdy is not in the top-7 playing rotation, based on minutes played. He is 8th in number of 3s attempted, hitting 5 of 13. Since just one hot shooting game could raise his % to .500, I consider his 3pt % irrelevant at this point.

Other than being weak with the ball, not being able to rebound AT ALL, constantly trying to avoid the foul when shooting under the basket, having a horrible shot selection, having horrible facial expressions and pouting when he does something dumb then tries to blame it on someone else, barely getting playing time on mediocre teams rather than being an all-SEC 1st teamer for three years straight and a go to guy on a national championship and runner up national champion team, I can see where you'd think Hunter is just like Scotty Thurman.

Hunter is not Thurman, but Thomas is less so. Heath needs to sit him if he keeps launching long jumpers. Seems like he is auditioning for the NBA sometimes. Needs to stay 15 feet in.

Hunter shooting 3s was part of the game plan vs Bama. Heath didn't think Bamas bigs could get out there & stop that shot. He was right.

Great game plan by Heath & good execution by Hunter, who is a valuable team member.  WPS!!
I was talking about Thomas shooting from outside. I don't think he has made one of those in the last 7 or 8 games. I agree about Hunter shooting the 3 if he makes his first one or two. He is very streaky.

I see. 'Scuse me for sticking to the thread subject. I just picked the wrong poster to pick on this time. And the wrong antecedent for "him."
My bad Silvertip. I should have stuck with thread topic and started another on Thomas. Just made me think about him (Thomas) shooting to much from the outside.

If Thurman was even slower, less adept at getting his own shot, and otherwise looked lost on the court, perhaps.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Hunter played well but Thurman was a star.

The guy could jack it from 30 ft and make it like a free shot.

Most clutch player in the history of Arkansas basketball.

No1Hog27

NO...... he played a good game. But he is a role player
