Georgia was in control of Saturday's game against Texas A&M for roughly 38 minutes. In the game's final two minutes, all it needed to do was get the ball up the court, draw some fouls and hit its free throws.

Bulldogs could never get the ball up the court.

A&M pressed and forced Georgia into four consecutive turnovers. The Aggies rallied as a result and stole a 63-62 win from Georgia.

It was a frustrating way to lose, and that doesn't even factor in the clock confusion on the game's final possession.

Following Braxton Key's 3, Alabama leads Georgia 80-58. Again, Tide came in averaging SEC-worst 68.3 points per game.

Avery Johnson joked about the impact of Saturday's 20-point loss at Auburn. You'd think the Crimson Tide was 0-6 in the league after such a loss, the second-year coach observed.

Well, it had an impressive answer in the response.

An 80-60 win at Georgia on Wednesday night saw the Crimson Tide dominate the painted area while finding a 3-point shooting stroke. It led by as many as 20 points early in the second half before setting on the same margin at the end. It was a fitting way to move on from the 84-64 loss to Auburn on Saturday.

Alabama (12-7, 5-2 SEC) survived a nine-minute stretch without a field goal in the second half with the cushion it built, a few free throws and the defense that's becoming a trademark.

Freshman Braxton Key was the scoring force with 26 points as four Alabama players hit the double-figure mark. Riley Norris (15 points), Corban Collins (15) and Jimmie Taylor (10) joined Key in the scoring effort.

The win kept the Tide from losing consecutive games for the first time since early December.

Georgia (12-8, 4-4) is now 1-3 in the last four games after a hot start to the season.

Coach Mark Fox was ejected late in the first half after losing it on a turnover.

Tide returns home Saturday for a 5 p.m. visit from Mississippi State.
