Love the part about not rushing to judgement. So the opposite of that would me doing your own due diligence getting all the facts and then deciding for yourself. Something it appears Briles did not do. Read the Grantland piece about this and the Dave Bliss mess two decades ago. Something is rotten to the core in Waco but then again the head hypocrite is Ken Starr.

HOUSTON (August 27, 2015) The father of a former Baylor football player convicted of rape in an attack on an 18-year-old female athlete says he was present when Boise State head coach Chris Petersen called Bears coach Art Briles in May 2013, and says Petersen said nothing about a violent incident involving his son.

One-time All-American Sam Ukwuachu, 22, was convicted on Aug. 20 of raping the Baylor freshman athlete in October 2013 and the next day was sentenced to 10 years on probation, 180 days in county jail and ordered to perform 400 hours of community service.

Felix Ukwuachu, said in an interview with KWTX at his home in Houston, that he took a bus to Boise in May 2013 in order to pick up his son and met with Petersen who told him he was going to recommend the player to his "friend Art Briles."

And he said he was in an outer office when Petersen placed the call.

"We could hear the whole conversation," he said.

"Petersen said 'Samuel is a dynamic player, a good boy' (and) said he would be pleased if you take him into your school," Felix Ukwuachu said.

Petersen "did not let Samuel go because of sexual abuse or any kind of abuse," Ukwuachu said.

"Samuel was depressed, Samuel was homesick it was making him...think suicidal thoughts, so we decided that we told him you have to come home," he said.

"Samuel was in good standing with University of Boise State, Boise state," he said, and a transfer document that Baylor released confirmed that.

N.Y. Times: B. U., Football and the Rape Case of Sam Ukwuachu

On Aug. 21, a Baylor University football player named Sam Ukwuachu was sentenced to six months in the county jail and 10 years' probation for sexually assaulting a freshman soccer player two years ago.

Although Ukwuachu pleaded not guilty to the charges, there wasn't much doubt that "Jane Doe," as she is referred to in court documents, had been raped. When she went to the hospital after the encounter, the examining nurse found "vaginal injuries, including redness, bleeding and friction injuries," according to a powerful account in Texas Monthly. Jane Doe had been a virgin.

Her testimony during the short trial was nothing short of chilling...
