I'm pleased that we got Cal considering the initial reports of multiple coaches declining our offer.
As far as what I posted, there is some truth to what happened. Good to know that Thiero doesn't hold Cal responsible for it and that he still may come here.

But if in fact Cal decided to start with a clean slate I do not blame him. He could clearly see that something was badly broken with a talented bunch of players that could not come together as a team. actually during his last 6 or 7 yrs with UK.. Cal had  a sports psychologist on his staff for players/coaches to talk too. Idk why this thread was created.. ppl just gonna trash Devo. Muss kept him around for a reason. I rewatched the vermont tourney gm from 2022. Brought back some good memories and Devo was a dog. Played completely diff with that team. Played 36 min 6/10 14pts. Scored from all 3 levels. Hit a tuff turnaround fadeaway. That was a fun team to watch. I doubt Cal brings him back but I'd be ok with it. Idk what happened in his development under muss but he'll def benefit from playing under a new HC..I'll cheer for him wherever he goes. Unless they're playing the hogs. Best of luck to Devo

I haven't mentioned this yet, but boy I've been thinking about it A LOT. What the heck is wrong with Hedgecock? She decides to retire after an all-American season and then changes her mind after talking to Hannah Gammill. She looks like she doesn't want to be playing. It looks like she's just going through the motions. There's absolutely no emotion with her when she's batting. I'm no expert on softball and players, but I'm not understanding how she can go from our best player to one who can't do anything at all. She shouldn't have come back, because in my opinion, her mind is elsewhere and not with the softball team.

I don't think he was talking about anything specifically, just that it's possible if anyone starts to consistently falter. DVH mentioned Tygart has had at least two good starts in a row before today. I expect Wood to get a start in Hoover. Before that, I'd be a little surprised, but who knows.

Yeah - I assumed he was talking about Wood taking Tygart's (not Molina's) spot as well.
