It seems that most folks are just mad that their team cannot keep up with the joneses.

If we have a completely unregulated pay system, then we have locked in a situation where a dozen or fewer teams have a shot and that will never change. There is a reason that pro teams have drafts. If we are making college ball pro, there needs to be a draft. If they aren't students, then which college they don't attend doesn't matter.

Not a bad idea.

We're a virtual lock now. Win one @A&M and it's locked

Quote from: Iwastherein1969 on Today at 04:45:29 amLikely NOT will it be permanent. I was 25 years old and I bent over to mark my golf ball on the 17th green at Magnolia, AR CC and I noticed a green spot in my field of vision in my right eye. I was scared as I've ever been. Golf, besides my wife and children was my everything. Long story short, I had a brain scan which revealed no cancer nor blood clots which was a relief but not the end to the problem. The Ophthamologist treating me said if the green dot in my field of vision didn't gradually lighten up and begin to move out of my vision it the bleed would likely be permanent. Well, a month later the bleed had lightened up considerably and moved out of my field of vision. Many prayers were sent up to Christ, the greatest physician of all and He watched over me over 40 years ago. I will pray for you, my brother. Hope all turns out well.  pfa

Thanks for the encouraging words 1969. I didn't get the green dot though. Mine is a grey screen. But yes praying to God is always a good thing to do. And if he wants me to have full vision again then that is what will happen. I have faith in that.

Quote from: DWR on Yesterday at 09:53:39 pmThe reality is we do not know who or how many are being paid what amount and who is paying them.
And it is not nil as it was intended, it is pay to play.
When a person is paid to play he is no longer an amateur but a pro.
I have never enjoyed pro sports.
Not knocking those who do, but I do not.
If that is what college sports is coming to just say so and stop with the bull.

I don't think that is what bothers us either.
