I'm taking my wife up to Seattle in a few weeks for our anniversary. We'll just be there for a long weekend but I was wondering if anyone here had been there and if you had suggestions on a three day intenerary.
We're driving up the San Juan Islands on Sunday to go on an Orca whale watch.

my parents just got back a few weeks ago, they said the one must see was the boeing plant. they give tours of the plant and its the most massive building either of them had ever seen. you can go on the catwalks and look down while they are building jumbo jets and stuff, really amazing my dad said.

Saefco Field is one of the best baseball experiences I've ever had, and I've been to over half of all MLB stadiums, and another 40ish college parks, and countless minor league and regional complexes.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

We cruised the San Juans for two weeks on a trawler.  Great place.  Eggs Benedict everywhere.  Take the ferry to Victoria Island for High Tea at the fancy hotel (can't remember name) for a hoot!  Look for the J pod whales.
It's not about the money...it's about the amount of money.
