People ask me what I do in winter when there is no baseball.  I will tell you what I do. I stare out the window, and I wait for spring.

I know it's been talked about on here a few times over the years, but can you imagine all of the names in football that this man either mentored, coached, were assistants under, etc?  This is bigger than just the Arkansas program, he was instrumental in creating and mentoring the lives of so many great football minds that I can't even begin to start a list long enough to do it justice, but Know many on here can.

JFB was the lone constant during my lifetime of love for the Razorbacks. Prayers for his entire family and all Razorback fans everywhere. He was a man of vision. I will miss his wit and drawl. Not only a great coach, but probably my favorite color commentator of all time as part of the Keith Jackson team.

For as much crap as I gave him back in his last days of being an Athletic Director, I never truly realized how much he did for this program and how that ended up shaping my life as a whole. The Arkansas Razorbacks are my life. Thank you for everything, Frank. You will be sorely missed.

A sad day indeed. Let's raise a glass to a true giant in college sports and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

RIP Coach!

A legend has passed and an era is over.

Razorbacker79

Sad news, indeed.  Coach Broyles was, is and should always will be an Arkansas icon.  Besides all of the other accomplishments mentioned, I remember very fondly how he used a chalkboard with x's and o's to explain on his coach's show with Bud Campbell, then Paul Eels, how a play worked and just talked the mechanics of football--been missing that for a while in these glitzy days.  Later on, especially as an AD, I didn't always agree with him and when some friends would say we should get rid of him I would say, yeah, but who would you get to replace him that loves the Razorbacks any more than Coach Broyles?  As said before, he was a gentleman that happened to be from the south--which is something else I am missing in these days, too few gentlemen of any ilk.  When it's all said and done, I can't be more proud of his life, legacy and ambassadorship for my alma mater our state.

Rest in Peace, Coach.  You fought the good fight.
Turn up that damn jukebox!!
