The problem with college sports is simple. It's a business that was built on an amateur sports foundation. Now that it's grown into a huge business the NCAA is caught with it's pants down trying to keep up the charade of amateur sports where millions of dollars get floated around.

Those attorneys and lawmakers had zero to do with the planning and execution. They just argued that something needed to change and the courts agreed. Neither the attorneys, nor the courts would have even had the jurisdiction or authority to plan how those changes get implemented.

It's like blaming the physicist who worked with cathode rays for your TV, when they never were part of designing a tv. That was the engineers and businesspeople.
