We used to get some on gulf mountain, during turkey season.

Morels are easy to identify, they're yellow to dark gray spear pointed spongy looking caps with a pale stem and they're completely hollow in the stem all the way through the cap. Unmistakeable.

Looks like a loofah to me...

I boiled some and made koolaid out of the water last weekend. Wife had to call a friend of mine to get me off of the chimney on top of the house. I woke the neighbors up crowing like a rooster at daylight.

A few guys I work with have found a lot , one guy found 75 last weekend , the other found over 200 , both live in Missouri ...
