After Arkansas controlled the football for 33:07 at TCU, Bret Bielema addressed how much the Hogs value time of possession within the program..."That's a signature wherever I've been as a head coach. We've always been one or two in the conference, if not in the nation."  Bielema says it all goes back to the comfort level he has with this team, referring to something he often brought up in the preseason...the fact that he knows this roster as well as any roster he's had at Arkansas. 
The Hogs are 16th in time of possession nationally.  Bielema adds: "For us to have success, that has to be a key stat.  It doesn't matter in all programs, but in our program, it does."

BB is dead right, TOP is very important to us.  The fact that we can and did speed up when down late in the 4th against TCU is very important too.  Remember when Nutt teams would be down late and he couldn't get more than 3 or 4 plays into the game in the last 2 minutes and we would usually have to waste a timeout to do that.  Once we wasted a timeout and still got a penalty for delay of game in Nutt's 2 minute offense.  Another time we called timeout, then got a penalty for 12 men on the field when we finally run a play.  Nutt was/is an idiot.

TOP is what kills HUNH teams.  They hate to see Arkansas on their schedule.

When we are in our groove, moving the chains and not turning the ball over or getting penalties, we are kryptonite to HUNH teams...
