Others in this forum are more knowledgeable than I, but since no one has replied, the polls in question were released last year between Jan. 19 and Jan. 26.   I'd guess that the timing will be about the same this year.

Practice usually starts the around 2/1.  The release of those things has more to do with money/timing etc than anything else, but I'd assume for it to be in the build up to the beginning of practice.

The big coaches convention was this past week and everyone is getting ready for the season.  I'd assume a similar timing as what Wisco said happened last year.
