Great end to the Bulls-Cavs game.

You can see what the Cavs intend to do, though.    They're going to win the East.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Detroit took out Atlanta, surprisingly easily.

I love SVG as a coach.   Andre Drummond had a monster night on the glass, and I think the loss of Monroe is actually going to unclog the lane a bit, and make him a better rebounder because of the reduction in traffic.

New Orleans-Golden State should give us a sneak peak at the best players in the league right now.

Drummond is a beast

Its not often someone opens a season with essentially a 20/20  (he lost a rebound to 'team rebounds' that he should have been credited with)--  Drummond is a centerpiece that you can actually build around, with a skill set that is pretty unique.   It's him, Z-Bo, Al Jefferson, and Duncan, when it comes to the guys who still can play back to the basket and be a multi-tiered threat.

I think Memphis is still trying to hit their first basket............................
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

They're set for a severe fall off in the near future.  Z-Bo is in year 15, and Gasol isn't getting any younger;  they still haven't added shooting.

They are due for a rebuild very soon. Hope they can do well before then. If they don't do as well this season then I think some strategic moves will be made. Although they are getting older their players still have some value for rebuilding via trades etc.

I think they give it a run this year, for old time's sake, barring injury, then blow it up for a rebuild either in the summer, or before the trade deadline next year.

Erie has to be happy   Rubio looked like a different player from last year   they are better than most will think

Rubio exploited one of the slowest, worst defenses in the NBA.

He's going to regress a lot;  the good news is, Wiggins played terribly, and they still won.

That part is encouraging.

Having Noel next to him will help hide his defensive shortcomings, but I have long term worries about how you build around those two (I'm not even counting Embiid right now),  and have a competitive modern offense that creates high percentage shots.

Mudiay looks really, really good.   I'd enjoy him, before he bounces out of town at the end of his first deal :)

I'm guessing 8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and a lot of cringe worthy moments--  BUT!--  Wiggins puts up 18,  KAT puts up 18, and the Wolves win an ugly game 95-91

Rubio has played better than I expected tonight.

Its always a good time of the year to catch League Pass.  I don't know if I'm going to buy it this year.

Little did I know the Nuggest would let me down --  I expected 13 too many points from them, though I am pleased to get the number right for the Wolves overall, and for Wiggins.

KAT did put up 28/14, and 4 blocks, so he overachieved.

Go Wolves!

KAT shut down Gallinari and dominated the game. Where was this version of Faried the last two years? He looks better to me

I think Faried lost his game, when he became a focal cog of that Nuggets team.  He's best as an accessory, not a lead player.   The addition of Muiday and whoever they get in the next lottery can make them a serious player again in a couple of years, if Faried sticks around.

Faried probably is the 3rd guy behind Gallinari and Mudiay. KAT looks like 80 % of Anthony Davis

He's going to end up more than Anthony Davis; I have far more faith in his jump shooting than I do AD--- and that's no knock on AD.

I'm just telling you what it looked like at the Pepsi center tonight, probably the best performance from a rookie I've ever seen in person. What I saw from KAT at age 19 or 20 was 80%of AD but his potential could be much greater.

I'm sky-high on Anthony Davis;  I just look at the Hornets roster, and think Early LeBron Cavs.

His team is going to hurt his progression, more than anything.
