Did not see this coming after getting drilled by smu.
Bama was down but still a great win. Lone bright spot of 97.

31-9 in Shreveport. The game We scored a touchdown and no one knew.
Very sickening feeling while listening to that entire game.

I was a Marine Corps 1stLt deployed aboard the USS Whidbey Island so I didn't see this game.   Once I heard the score I loved being able to give a little back the the completely obnoxious navy public affairs officer who was projecting his Tide to go to the national championship game.  All the wardroom officers were tired of hearing about Alabama football so they took the opportunity to pile on for about a week.   one of my favorite things on the planet...to this day...is to see Bama fans humbled.

The 1990's was a tough decade of Football for the Hogs.

You're not kidding.
Good thing our basketball program was amazing back then because outside of the 95 season, our football program was awful. Even in 1995, we still couldn't beat SMU that year.
