So I have a bunion on big toe that has gotten to the point I need to have it taken care of. Anyone had surgery to fix it or just had the joint fused?   I was wondering what are the pros and cons to each and how it effects being active working out, various outdoor activities like hiking or skiing.  Not really sure which way to go on this and it could be a major decision.  I have had other surgeries Knee and shoulder and they were pretty straight forward as far as options, recovery time and the fact I wouldn't lose any strength or flexibility long term.
