"Sold" and "Committed" are very different things.  The suites and loge boxes as of today are nothing more than commitments with down payments being the only thing that is in the bank.  The down payments are minor compared to the total price tag.  Anyone who chooses to bail can do so with no further cash outflow.  This alone would be reason for concern with the BOT when viewed in context of the debt and the status of the football program.  If media is using the term "sold" to describe status, that's misleading at best.

The point is simply that the bonds aren't on the come while the sales are on the come.  Long made a bet.  The bet may wind up being a loser.  BOT is dealing with that.

The BOT surely had enough sense to realize that when they Ok'd the plan in the beginning. The bonds are backed by athletic revenue, not suite sales alone. There are $90m in unallocated revenues for the bonds, they come before jock straps, lol.
