FOIA: South Carolina has reported 23 NCAA or SEC violations in the past year. 22 of the infractions were classified as Level III, which is outlined by the NCAA as violations that are "isolated or limited in nature; provide no more than a minimal recruiting, competitive or other advantage; and do not include more than a minimal impermissible benefit."

QuoteSix of the violations involving the football team have occurred since coach Will Muschamp arrived in December. But one of those happened when ex-coach Steve Spurrier told reporters that the daughter of a former NFL player was visiting campus.

One of the SEC violations occurred when a football quality control coordinator used a headset in the press box to talk to coaches on the field. The school suspended the quality control coach for one game.

The report states that two football-related violations are pending. From May, a player was found to have received impermissible transportation for three-and-a-half months. And from June, prospects were found to have received impermissible lodging on an unofficial visit.
