Remember, you were going to hand us our asses last year in the tourney, but you got beat up on in the 1st round by a team "Tigerhigh" waxed by 16 two days later. It must really suck to be a bottom feeder in such a great conference. Keep riding the coat tails of the big boys in the $ec, the rest of the nation knows where you would be without them. You know its funny how all you rednecks over there like to trash what you call "Memphis" Seems to me I remember the greatest teams you ever had were loaded with these so-called "Memphricans" Those days ended when you folks in the white sheets murdered all of Nolan's horses. Good luck with Dana Altman; Cal had class he didn't want to embarrass you by saying he turned you down. Your program had its day now its just a symbol of mediocrity. We used to hear arkysuck fans all the time over here about 10 years ago. Now they have strangely disappeared. Faded into Bolivian as mike tyson would say.

You will get no argument from most Memphis fans, including me, that CUSA stinks, and if we could get out, we would.  And props to the Hogs for winning the NC in 1994. 

That being said, it's kind of ridiculous to say that Calipari is afraid to come to a "real" conference.  The SEC West was pitiful this year, and we smacked around the 2nd best team in that division (Ole Miss) the last two years.  And an Elite 8 run the last two years, including a 16 point win over Bucknell (who beat Arkansas) last year and Texas A&M this year, doesn't quite strike me as a team that would wither against "quality" competition.  Would we go 16-0 in the SEC?  No (but we'd like the chance).  But an equally valid question is, would Arkansas have gone undefeated in CUSA this season?  Maybe, maybe not. 

Funny how these kinds of excuses (that Cal can't handle the pressure in a real conference) start when it becomes obvious that Calipari wasn't knocking on Frank Broyles' door begging for the job (or Billy Gillespie, or Bill Self, or Rick Barnes, or Tim Floyd...)   Or the tired, old "Memphis can keep Calipari, we don't want him" mantra begins when the 5th person down the list finally gets the job.  We all know that this board would have been through the roof if Calipari had actually decided to come to Fayetteville.

I for one miss the old Tigers-Hogs series with the great players for both teams in the 90's.
